If you want opinions about their TV's from credible sources, i suggest you visit AVSFORUM.COM for one, before tossing out reviews from Sony Biased sites... Sharp is THE leader in LCD televisions... Second to them would be Samsung... Sony isnt even in the top 3 for LCD TV's... Infact, Westinghouse churn out better TV's than Sony and their 3rd tier for christ sakes...

Pioneer and Panasonic take the Plasma market, not Sony. Pioneer owns the high end market of plasma, middle end is held by lower tier pioneers, higher end panasonics, toshibas, hitachi's, lg's and philips. Low end is held by lower tier Panasonics and Vizio.

I have has the joy of installing this unit and the JVC DLIA and they are both stunning.

I still think Sony is corporatly mental, but saying they have nothing going for them is just plain wrong. The PS3 is a decent machine in my opinion, and I have one. It will only get better as well.

Well in case you haven't noticed, forums like this one, and forums like avsforums are not for the average person. They are not going to spend hours upon hours researching and waiting for people like us to scrutinize everything down to the finest detail before buying a piece of electronic equipment. There definitely are better products out there than what Sony has to offer, I'm not denying that, but if I am not mistaken they also cost more. For what Sony offers at the price it is usually a good product. Not every single thing they release is bad ass, but that goes for just about any company.

I never said Sony made THE BEST stuff, all I was trying to prove to you is that they are not nearly as shltty as people try to make them out to be. Out of the 3-4 sites I listed for TV reviews there is no way all of them could be Sony biased websites. I could spend a few more minutes and find several more sites which give high marks to Sony products. Are you saying EVERY SINGLE site I can find that has anything to say good about Sony is purely a biased site? Give me a break.

You really do need to stop calling me a fanboy as well. Do you know how many Sony products I own? Just the PS2 and PS3. I will be the first person to tell you that the Wii is good, and so is the 360, they both have unique features and are good systems in their own right. I myself simply prefer what the PS3 has to offer over what the Wii and the 360 have. When I buy an HDTV later this year I am not going to review just the Sony TV's and go, yep that's the one for me, no, I'm not that stupid. Just because I am trying to say Sony has good products and I like the PS3 more than the 360 and the Wii does not make me a fanboy, so shut the hell up with that crap.

All I am saying is Sony may have messed up over the years they have been around, but so has anyone else. They have also offered great products and service and did a KILLER job with the PS1 and PS2, I for one am not going to start saying they are shlt just because they have had a rough few year or so and the PS3 is off to a rocky start, I am going to give them a chance.

That is one of the craziest things I've heard all year. That's fine though, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I just don't see how you can say the PS2 was crap. It is the most sold console of all time, if I remember correctly. It is still alive and kicking today, new games are still coming out for it, really good ones too.

i agree, the 70" Sony LCD is very highly regarded.


While sony does make some junk, a lot of their electronics is still pretty good. Its just fun jumping on the "OMG SONY SUX0RS" bandwagon.

Just look at the PS3 build quality compared to the XBOX 360. PS3 has one tank of a PCB compared to the 360. PS3 is just new and expensive, lacks games people want.

Im sure in good time sales will pick up after price drop + new games.
