Sapphire HD2900XT (retail) overclocked result on stock cooler @850/1100

Overclocked result on retail card Sapphire HD2900XT in my hand, i think it good OC on stock cooler to stop is 850/1100MHz-core/mem, because my room temp or surrounding's 30-31 ํC and card temp around 50-55 ํC in idle load at STD core speed.

very sweet. I am surprised to see the memory being able to go to 1100 via overdrive. I thought the limit was 900?

ATI's 3dmark scores are meaningless since this card cannot outperform an 8800GTS 640 80% of the time. hence my theory of ATi optimizing for 3dmark........who cares about some meaningless number when it cannot perform in game accordingly to the benchmark.

I agree. If he was to modify the sink in any way, it would not be. Besides, I really doubt that fan is doing anything that important for a mild 850/1100 oc anyways.

I kinda get what Kunaak is trying to say....Stock cooling generally entails only using the stock cooler, without forcing more air into it, most people that use stock mean just that.
"Stock" not a fan forcing air into the blower on the "Stock" cooler

Why is the score so low?

    I don't have quad core
    I don't have 8-pin power so i can't overclock my card

    you have quad core
    and you have massive overclock

but my score is 500 higher than you?

You can't. If you don't have an 8 pin pci-e on your PSU, you'll have to use 2 x 6 pin, in which case you are limited with overclocking. Basically, if you want the most from this card, you MUST purchase a new PSU if your current one doesn't have an 8 pin.

also CrossFire support is now natively supported by the AMD ATI Radeon HD 2900-series; the external CrossFire dongle is a thing of the past.
