I'm back....
so much for the 399 entry price. I knew it would be higher than that. That means at least 599 canadian for me. What a rip.

I'm highly doubting that the R600 will be available before Feb personally.
I'm back....
Hype always drive up prices...
guess I wont be getting a X1950 anytime soon.
its just not different enough from my XTX to go for it.
sad, cause I was planning on going crossfire with them.
7950gx2 seems a better choice ive seen many with MIR pretty cheap

@Sanborn the price is for XTX not XT
^^ hmm good call. I haven't really seen anything on multiple XT-XTX models tho. I think there is just an XTX and a Pro ?
I'm back....
why go for the xtx if the crossfire edition is the same price?
^^ what if there was truth to the rumor floating around several months ago that the R600 would be able to do crossfire over the RD600 with X19xx series of cards?
And you have to buy one of each to do crossfire, its just not any extra for the master card like it used to be.
I'm back....
x1900xt 256mb? Maybe we finally have a bios to unlock an x1900gt...
There will be the XT version with 256MB and definitely cheaper.Originally Posted by Sanborn

Why do you keep in saying it's going to be on 80nm? or w/e? Everything i have found, says it's the same 90nm.Originally Posted by perkam

OK OK... I almost choked reading that.
No way does an X1900XT beat a 7950GX2. Surely?
Someone here please tell me that's BS. Even the people replying at the bottom are saying they highly doubt it.
I was considering an X1950XTX but is the GDDR4 memory really that good that it completely obliterates a 7950GX2 when both are on their own in a single PCI-E slot? - If it beat it, then fine. But by that much? It's a beast of a card and well worth £300 as 7950GX2's are like £370 here.
So by what that says, it's as if ATI are saying it would take Quad SLi to beat a single X1950XTX.
This also makes things seem fishy.Originally Posted by Dailytech
So lemme get this right.
X1900XT > 7950GX2
X1950XTX > 7950GX2
7950GX2 in quad (costing like £700+) > (just about) > X1950XTX (worth up to £300)
Hmmmmmmmm...

You still need a master card for the x1950xt?? that sucks if you do.

Well, the benchmarks are likely skewed as one person pointed out on that website. Those numbers are for MAX AA, and Nvidia 7950 has a higher MAX AA than thse ATI cards...... So really its like comparing....Originally Posted by Moonraker™

I'll stick with my X1900XTX until the DX10 cards are available.
(And hopefully I can keep my XTX for physics or maybe crossfire, that would be sweet)
