So what works with these? Has anyone tried ATi Tool, ATi Tray Tools, etc.?
ill wait for the omega release.

Ouch!!! This driver is a killer; at 700/800 i have make a better score on 3D 06 -> versus my best at 749/891...
4'545 ....... 749/891, - 6.1 -
4'608 ....... 700/800, - 6.2 beta -
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=109564
And the IQ in games seems good as the 6.1...
Im confused, why doesn't www.ati.com have these drivers?? I see every one is having such a difficult time trying to dl it.
Current Setup:
-9850 GX2's in Quad SLI config
-Asus P5N32-SLI MB
-2x512mb of PC2-5300 DDR2
-Intel Celeron D OC'd to 3.2Ghz
-Windows Me with XP theme
-WD Caviar 20GB Hard Drive
-Zip drive
-Jazz drive
-3.5" floppy drive
-5.25" floppy drive
ATi doesn't host Leaked Beta drivers, even if they themselves allowed the leak to make folks a bit happier(don't know if they ALLOWED this leak or not, but considering the gripes on the net, I wouldn't doubt it).
They only host WHQL drivers for DL.
The regular 6.2 drivers should be available soon at ATi
Zen2 Has brought AMD back!
I see, I didn't realize they were beta drivers

Anyone playing FEAR with the 6.2's and NOT get regular stuttering. FEAR is the only game that doesn't play silky smooth with these things. It's like constant disk access with a x1900xtx and 2gb of RAM.

Tried some 05 with the new drivers, went up 400 points from 11888 with the cd-drivers

My 3DMark05 score is now more with 4800+ and X1900XT than it was with FX60 and X1900XT
Hooray for useless benchmark scores

Keep in mind where you are. These aren't gaming forums; it's where some of the best 3dmark benchers in the world discuss methods and results.Originally Posted by overcast
that is true but you should also keep in mind that ATI doesnt release the drivers just for benchers.Originally Posted by dqniel

So why is it customary to post specs in sigs anyway?
I'm aware of where I am, however if you're going to tell me you spend thousands of dollars on gaming hardware to run a silly benchmark , then you're crazy. That's like you saying you're building a race car to sit on the dyno all day.Originally Posted by dqniel

Rename FEAR.exe to something like fore.exe or whatever and then see if you still get stuttering. Also make sure your Catalyst AI is set to standard.Originally Posted by overcast
