    G.Skill 2GBHZ 1GX2 DDR580 PI 32M Done

Crucial Ballistix Z503 DDR500 are easy to burn at 24/7. So i go to buy G.Skill 2GBHZ.

2GBHZ are more cheaper than Crucial Ballistix Z503. I buy from newegg.

    BOX

    MB: DFI NF4 SLI-DR Bios 510-1
    CPU: Opteron 146 0530 APMW
    Ram: G.Skill 2GBHZ 1GX2

    DDR560 32M pass

    DDR570 32M pass

    DDR580 32M pass

    UCCC is still good chip.

    Very nice!!

My G.SKILL's will be here tomorrow, I was having the same problems with my Ballistix so I ordered these sticks also.

I was thinking I would have to run a divider and that these wouldn't go 290 but this looks promising.

Got mine on monday, and they run great at 2.6V, I'm only pushing 260Mhz out of them but much better results.

Compared to the ballistix set I had, these run @ 33C loaded. Compared to the ballistix with 2x 80mm fans on them ran 40C Idle, and upwards of 45-47C Load. This is just the heat spreader temp but theres a big difference I'd say between them, My guess is the chips themselves run about 10C warmer then the heatspreader if it has decent contact.

    Well I'm having a delema.

Just got my G.Skill 2GBHZ today and it runs fine, I can run 280 1:1 BUT this
ram will only run 2T with my motherboard.

It is not the rams fault as this board is very limited on what ram will run 1T.
I am RMA'ing my Ballistix and don't know if I just want to sell them or give them another chance.

How much "real world" performance am I lossing by keeping this ram and running 2T?
