    and that's... simply amazing. 2.8ghz stable with 1.4v?
    Got a fan over those memory sticks? No? Well get to it before you kill them

    yup, friend, peter lu has one 1.35v can do 2.8g everything stable with stock cooling fan. I think 0517 is the date rocks.

    quite possible. hopefully it'll stay around this level of oc'ing as time goes on

    Those temps seem high for those low voltages...? Oh well guess it doesnt matter.

    stock cooling + warm taiwan ambient (i assume hes in taiwan)

    can you see the light? is it shining too bright? can you see the light at the end of the tunnel, i know i do, i know its true.

    Yeah I've emailed alot of UK stores and nearly all have the 0517 chips, I'm picky of batch and have found a 3000 BPBW. Still looking for a nice 3200.

    such luck! I guess this 517s are underclocked 3500+ and 3800+ but normal 3000+ are that, just 3000+ by speed bin so thats why mine does 2.35GHz at stock volts, still near 3800+ in itself so not bad
    3000+ Venice 240x9=2.16GHz(ondie controller limit) 2x512mb patriot tccd ram
    9700pro at 325/310 runs all games buttery smooth!

    yea what about online stores such as newegg etc etc...i dont have any computer stores close around here to go hand pick a cpu im glad i waited to get a venice now lol.
