Anyone pre-order their Venice/Diego yet?

I called AMD rma department to complain about the 0442 fx55 they sent was damaged internally. I got AMD to pay for the shipping overnight and they are sending me a new FX55 overnight once they get my defective chip. I ask the Rep to upgrade my FX55 to the new .90nm since they are discontinueing the 130micron. The rep told me that they even dont have any .90nm FX55 and the rep wasnt even sure since the chip is so new.
I am sticking with my FX55 for awhile until i see some benches.

i recieved an email from sparco saying that the eta for the 3200 venice i ordered has changed to 4/22 originally 4/18

You gotta be a big sucker to believe tha 4/22 is a safe and reliable date.
Sparco does not have them and they won't have them before others, they are simply lying.

Agreed...if they're blowing smoke up our collective asses I'll have no mercy in the ratings I leave them...if they get it right then by all means I'll give them a good rating and go out of my way to order from them in the future

Didn't really mean to rant so much in my previous post, but 9/10 people I see on the number of boards I troll have been condemning the companies that show availability before Monarch without even knowing for sure...just because Monarch has in the past gotten parts before other retailers doesn't mean that they're AMD's golden-child retailer and guaranteed to have them first...not suggesting that's entirely peoples attitude HERE, but I've read alot of people posting with those kind of sentiments...not saying Sparco is the greatest company in the world and can do no wrong, it's possible they are lying to get pre-release sales up...I just don't get that feeling from the people there that I've spoken to, and would tend to believe more that they're getting faulty information if what they're telling us is wrong...even if they don't get it until Monarch does, their prices are still lower so...eh...w/e...we'll find out

I hope so to. I just got my G. Skill GH Winbond UTT kit today, am in the process of ordering a single phase cooling unit from Chilly1, and now need to get my hands on a new FX-55 with the San Diego core. Then all I'll need to do is get some water cooling for my 2 vid cards and I'm all set.

its called eta, key word estimated. all i said is what was in the email, I never said that it was shipping out on 4/22, because the key word is estimated

Guys even the ETA's at Monarch are there only to settle down your emails for the newer chips.

Monarch got nailed with emails requesting the new chips aval. so thats why you see an ETA for a chip coming out almost in June

other web sites are going by some resellers lists by NOBODY's like "MIKES RESELLER LIST", lol.

The New info regarding the Next FX chip will surface in a few weeks so untill then don't expect anything but the 130nm fx-55 to surface.

Even the new rev E opterons besides the 252/852 2.6ghz 90nm will be held for awhile 4-6 weeks.. the 252/852 where brought out fast "as will be the dual core chips by AMD and Intel in server format" to satisfy the OEM's like SUN/HP and DEll to name a few

all in due time

I'm in no hurry. Monarch says May 6th for my OEM Venice and May 20th for my San Diego. No biggie. I just got my preorder in so I can actually get one before August!
