Another UTT Winbond Player-Mushkin Blue PC3200

Got 2 sets each of 2x512mb to play with. On DFI board at 3.3v on the first Kit I got 245Mhz at Cas2 2:2:6 100%memtest and prime stable.
The second kit tolerated more voltage and at 3.5V I could get 253MHz memtest and prime stable. Awesome performance for the $$$$. Frys/outpost had them(think they might be out, but getting more in I Think) for $60-65 ea 512mb :O. I gotta say I'm a convert to the UTT trend . Great bang for the $$$$. Can even bench(haven't run memtest or prime) at Cas 1.5 2:2:6, however not sure if it really makes a difference, but seen others with those timings in sig, so thought what the hell-gave it a go.

using the better of the two kits in my 6600GT class benching

I think for every good UTT stick, there is a bad one out there to match it. These chips vary a lot.

well I can only speak on the 2 sets I have that I've tested. Both kits great IMO.

Fry's is supposed to be getting more in I think. Any new shipments of 3200 Blue line mushkin should be UTT from what I'm told

    no problem bennah

it's nice to have another option in the UTT memory chase and with a company like mushkin, it's good to know there's a rock solid warranty/support just in case

Can you see the markings on the chips or anyway to know they are UTT by looking at them? I want to pick up some UTT and was just about to order some Twinmos SP but if I can just go to Fry's that would be more convenient.

they have heatspeaders on them I think... taking the heatspeader off , invalidates the warranty.

    rgr that
I just have it on advisement that all new blue 3200 is UTT, at least until whomever is making the chips finds out people actually like them, and much like BH5 in past, and TCCD currently, they will probably stop production

well blue is not necessarily the spreader color. But I'm not sure if Newegg's stock is the UTT yet or not. They may have the older chips which I "think" were mosel, but I'm not 100% on that. Newegg is supposed to get the new stuff from what I hear, but not sure when.

Are you talking about the "Mushkin CL2 Blue Line"?

(on Mushkin's website, 3rd type under DDR SRAM)

One would think that their stock is always the newest type.

If unsure, email them... they have always been very responsive and forthcoming during my previous dealings with them.

The twinmos may be, but why buy twinmos when you could have mushkin for same price or less :O
