EPOX 9NPA+(nForce 4 Ultra) Testing Report

    The package is very nice.

Show the picture of EPOX 9NPA+.

In the right side,It has the port-80 and Pown-on key and reset key

    In the left side,

    Input/Ouput

    Near by CPU picture

    This is BIOS optiion
    CPU can reach 400MHZ

    PCI-E Option

    RAM option

    CPU Ratio option

CPU Voltage. It is very great. And Its highest voltage is 0.35V.

RAM Voltage. It can reach 3.1V.

    RAM: Dram-timing Option

    BIOS Voltage and Temp

    Very good Booting LOGO

    Testing Environment
    K8 939 3000+ (0.09) 0048SPAW
    G-Skill TCCD LA 256MBX2
    EPOX 9NPA+
    Leadtek GeForce 6200
    TEAC 512EB
    Seasonic 430W

    Show the picture.
It has three blue light. It can show the situation of CPU,CHIP,DIMM.
We can check that POWER-ON or POWER-OFF.

It is original FAN environment. It can 2.7G without additional Voltage.

DDR700 Ducal Channel Mode 1T pass

    Benefit
    1. CPU and RAM has more additional voltage.
    2. It is more helpful to the overclocker-user.
    3. It is very nice package in the market and beautiful Booting LOGO.
    4. Good overclock ability in this Motherboard.

This may make progress in this situation. :
1.BIOS may support more CPU-RATIO option .in the down option.
    2.The dram-parameter should powerful.
Ex:MSI_NF4 can boot in the –3-3-x option above 300MHZ (1T) environment.

This is the MSI_NF4 feature in my hand.
1.The voltage option is more powerful than EPOX.
    2.I am collecting the 5 BRAND-MF4 Motherboard.(EPOX ,MSI,DF-.GAGABYTE,ASUS)
3.Only DFI motherboard is more difficult.

    About the ASUS?
    I have do it.
But it can not 300MHZ ‘1T”.I still wait the newest edition BIOS.
    NEO4 and 9NPA+ can reach 350MHZ or above....easily
But asus still be unstable or it can not boot into LOGO in the 300MHZ environment.

looks awesome, except the cpu multiplier being so constricted...

about how much did it cost, will it be one of the more expensive boards?

well how can this thread possibly compete with the DFI thread.

epox looks to have a really good product, compared to MSI, and ASUS, and maybe Giga, but DFI just looks too good.

The EPoX boards are a much better value. The EPoX 8KDA3J is $40 less than the DFI UT 250GB. Not to mention DFI hasn't come out with a Socket 939 nForce3 solution.

I will admit the DFI board does look pretty

dfi looks good but there can always be an issue with a board, it might end up using faulty caps or whatever. voltage options dfi wins hands down, but if you only need 1.75vcore to max your cpu and 2.7/2.8vdimm to max your tccd then the dfi offers NOTHING over any other nf4 board that can max your mem speeds out. something the neo 4 and epox can clearly do. though have to say, in the uk you can pick up the dfi UT for like £62 or something, thats about $100, haven't seen the epox 939-J version about here but the 3+ version was around £100, different countries weird price differences.

i'll grab a dfi, but IMHO the neo 4/epox/giga/asus with new bios will all perform about the same. Theres very little you can do with a ath 64 board with same chipset, you can screw up the bios, but when they don't they all are pretty similar.

wow!! real nice, and good voltages, too.

don't be surprised to see the Epox @ $199... $100 less than the DFI

Looks like a great board, too bad it does not feature higher VDIMM voltages and a second onboard LAN. And more Memory timmings tweaks in BIOS would have been nice.

Does anyone know if this board will be competitivly priced with the MSI Neo4? Will they be around 150-200 bucks? It looks like both boards perform about the same.

Nice FETs I think. How big are those caps? How is the CPU voltage fluctuation?

Right now I'm waiting for the DFI, but my mind changes every 5 minutes.

The main ATX connector is in a horrible place if you're looking to hide the wires.

windwithme - what chipset drivers are you using? Mine seems to spontaneously shut down for no reason. Only with the nforce chipset drivers installed though.
