jnav, my board is doing 272, then it dies instantly above that so far. Got a gig of pqi turbo ultra in there, does 2.5,3,3,10 at 272Mhz. I've dropped to 3,4,4,10 and i don't get any increase so board limit, dropped multi further, not cpu limit. Might be something else, also only a single bios out so far, need to try newer ones when they are released. the HT speed being lower doesn't make too much diff, you just will be running roughly 200 lower on ht most of the time, shoudlnt' limit fsb max or anything , well it could do, but 272Mhz ain't bad for a gig of mem. Not had it higher and thats at only 2.7v.

Fairly impressed overall, very cheap in the uk, pcie and pci locks seem to work fine. Only dissappointing thing was ordering a 6800gt pci-e to go with it, having a 6800gt sticker on the card and findiing its got only 12 pipes and isn'[t a 6800gt.

took to long replying, is that 285Mhz fsb on 2x htt multi? i just remembered i forgot to go back and try with the 2x multi.

Also is nf4 clockgen working for you? so far its locked up going up in fsb for me, after i set a new fsb, but changing down works fine, and it shows locked buses. Could jsut be fsb limits locking it up. easytune 5 working for you at all? for me it pops up for a split second then closes.

HTT 3X. NF4 clockgen works but sometimes it's freeze . I didn't try EasyTune yet. Multiplier changing via clockgen works too, only 9.5, 8.5 multi not stable at all.

you're in the uk, i believe, though not 100% sure, that overclock.co.uk will be open pre new years for a bit, and have the gigabyte in stock, not the cheapest, but you could always ask them to match other places in price. So you might get that before new years, or at least just after.

You have a nice 2k1 score, with this basically 6800 nu i can barely get close to that, doesn't clock great and only 12 pipes, though, is it possible to unlock them on a pci-e 6800? either way, what settings do you change in nvidia driver options, not had an nvidia card since the day the 9700 was released.

microdicrect.co.uk also have both in stock and order up to wednesday and you'll get it delivered on thursday.

ah, thought i'd mention its www.overclock.co.uk i meant, not overclockers who are the OCUK bunch, they are pretty crap. Scan are the ones who sent me my beautiful 6800GT which is just a 6800 NU, for £275, for a £217 card, bit pissed with that, they are gonna get an earful. But scan are normally good. overclock is where i used to work, i asked for job there as i buy from all over the place and their service is 2nd to none. Smaller, prices sometimes are a bit more, but like i said, phone and ask, worst is they say they can't drop price, but maybe they can. I think they have retail cpu's in too. yup, they have retails in stock, and the board would ship thursday. I really recommend them over most uk people.

Dabs i put up with cos rma wise you can arrange for them to come and collect which saves me time and effort.

bad news on the pci-e 6800's, really angry they sent me wrong thing. nutting else in stock in the uk bar £340 from OCUK who rape prices if they have only thing in stock. I hear ati sli is happening soon though so might go for a x800xt or x800xl in a while and then get another when ati stuff is ready. I heard from a reliable source the via sli inbetween method will be e performance wise. as in, no where near the increase current nvidia sli can provide. Though if it provides a boost in all games it might be worth it, who knows. i'm confused.

FYI: Vlink seems to help higher HTT stability, and PCI express voltage seems to help my vid card clocks, this is all very preliminary data, but though some might like to know, as it may help them.

Got #2 orb score for 6600GT right now . Maybe I slap this hog in my Prometia tomorrow with FX55 and see if I could nab #1

edit: Yes it seems either vlink or PCI express voltages are helping me. I'm guessing the PCI express as now my vid card clocks are going up to 600/1080 and climbing . Oops. spoke too soon-artifacting

well there info says they wil be shipping stuff for thursday, i think they will be open for all or half of wednesday. the only thing might be people ordering and nabbing stock before you can ask them about prices, unless prices are fine anyway, just the board is a little expensive. if i spot one of the lads on msn i'll ask when their in this week

think most places seem to be opening for 1/2 days inbetween xmas and new years, bit weird that scan isn't.

nice going on the score Jnav. i think i've gone a bit mad and ordered an sli board and 2x 6600gt's, should be faster than my stupid 6800nu, hopefully overclock nicely, and found the cards for £113(unreal, dabs and their dabsvalue which are inno 3d if you're interested).

Are you all buying these boards? Why not wait for a little while until A3 boards become available??

cos ht speed is of little consequence, its not a bit issue. the board itself has pci express, locks, and is capable of high speeds, that won't change with a3 chipset, just will gain 200Mhz or so on ht speed.
