daymmm, and only on a -88c cascade

lol, only? what am i saying

and it looks like either this test is very GPU dependant, or it hates intel, im surprised that didnt get the top spot

can you see the light? is it shining too bright? can you see the light at the end of the tunnel, i know i do, i know its true.

he doesnt have the 800MHz core that Macci does but thats a nice score for his gpu clocks and Intel may be slightly faster in 2005 like its in 2003. I say he should easily hit like 36k in 2001, anyone agree?

Heh sacrificed another night's sleep for this, but took the lead for now with P4 5.2 gig on the dual cascade:
    CPU @ -88C GPU @ -90C NB @ -50C
    16 x 326 -> 5219Mhz on Abit AS8 Sapphire X800 pro still alive and kickin after the LN2 torture doing 788/652

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=117181

The NB cooling is just for show though

If possible though I would love to have a stock VGA clocks compare with the top AMD to see who is actually the stronger CPU.

    Great run LardArse

These LGA775 are getting better and better OC'ers, but they need more Level 2 cache (not just 1MB) to be competitive in 3Dmark 2001 - maybe the new 6XXX series (2MB L2 cache) will chance the scenario ..

Ei TI4200 I just love your predictions (reminds me J.C. Dvorak predictions ) , what you predict for our 3Dmark 2005 with FX53@3400 and the X800XT let's say at 750/680 ?

Benchmarks always favor one side not on purpose but it just happens such as ATi for GPU and Intel as CPU. I'm looking at a old magazine artical with P4 3.4EE on the 925 and 875 chipset and the a FX-53. Here is the breakdown.

    3.4GHz P4EE/925X 3.4GHz P4EE/875P Athlon 64 FX-53

    3DMark03 17653 17428 17028
    Splinter Cell 76.7 78.2 92.4
    Comanche 4 73.5 74.6 78.1
    UT2003 Botmatch 72.3 73.6 90.2

Now as you can see the Intel does get the extra points in 3dmark, but look at the difference in real world performance where FX-53 kicks intels butt. I wish that 3dmark's benchmark were a real world performance test. Like have actual games in there benchmarks like DOOM3, FarCry, UT2k4 anyone agree?

We can arrange that I can do one run of 3Dmark 2005 with FX53@3.400Mhz and Graphics Card a stock speed, to do compare ..seems interesting

    Excellent score !

Looks like a very good Canyon score, is that where the Intel 5GHz helped ? You are about equal with macci on the other 2 tests.

It would be nice to see stock speed on graphics and then

    3000, 3100, 3200, 3300 for FX53
    4600, 4800, 5000, 5200 for Intel

to see cross over points (if there is one ).

Might be nice for 03 as well, if everyone has lots of time on their hands ( as if ! ).

    Regards

    Andy

I recon about 8200 marks, 8500 easy if you can get the gpu to 800MHz core, I think Ricky mentioned it was capable of that with a mod to the OVP to increase the volts even more

id imagine a prescott @ 5.2ghz gives off quite a considerable amount of heat

and im still curious to see how important CPU is in this bench, because macci did have the top score with "only" a 2.93ghz FX53

Go do that Pedro.. then we look at the scores
Well I'd say the precott runs hotter and perhaps I put in a lil too much R290 this time

wow, thats awesome Lardarse. going head to head with one of the worlds best bencher/overclocker(Macci). i think 10k will break a lot faster in '05 than in 3dmark03.
