Everything extra is bad!
I wonder why they didn't include the OCZ EB.
A wiseman once said, "If Bible proves the existence of God, then comic books prove the existence of Superheros."
Are they producing them any more ?
Everything extra is bad!
EB is apparantly discontinued
there goes one of the best A64 OCers friends.....
- In Shadows Growing Wings -
In my opinion:
High voltage suicide kamikaze style: Bee Aech Five
Low voltage high fsb luvving: TCCDeeee!
El cheapo nearly 0 % mem OC: TCCC
In my opinion EB just fit in between the two, still required modding your board for excellent results and not being nearly as manly as Bee Aech five.
TCCD is cool though, really like my TCCD.

It's still on the OCZ website though.

It's pretty hard to reach high FSB on BH5 especially if you have 2X512MB. 250Mhz pretty much needs 3.2+v, with EB, they can reach ~280 or so with 3.1v(kinda like a sweet spot for them voltage wise)Originally Posted by Crankster

280 is VERY uncommon for EB with the best EB timings, i think the chance is about equal of getting 260 on Bee Aech five

ya, not at 2.5-2-2, but it's doable at 2.5-3-3 or 3-2-2.Originally Posted by Crankster

But then BH-5 with a higher multi is better. =)
EB needs to lay the big smack in FSB in order to the Bee Aech five.

wasnt their a review (from someone in here) that stated 3-2-2-x was faster than 2-2-2-x on a64 rigs.. I think it was a EB review

Now, the question whether BH-5 still owns all the benchmarks or the new high fsb memories can sneak ahead, obviously still remains open, and people have various opinions about it here as well.
away & gone
that is sooo true, my 1GB Kingston HyperX PC4000 ran much better on my Intel dual channel i865 mainboard with PAT. I could get lower 2-2-2 timings on that platform, On the AMD 64 Asus K8V VIA KT800 ,I could only get 2-3-3 @ DDR400 speeds.
