    Only works for this prescotts:

    Prescott LGA775 CPU (Performance/04B)
    800MHZ FSB, 3.4GHz, 3.6GHz, 3.8GHz, 4.0GHz+

    Prescott Socket 478 CPU (FMB1.5)
    800MHZ FSB, 3.2GHz, 3.4GHz+

And seems P4C800 non deluxe is not supported

man that so damn cool that asus did that.
just alittle while ago I started that thread in the intel area about how to unlock the 3.2E and now Asus took it one step farther. thats just cool

asus newspost before it was taken down:

Taipei, Taiwan, September 21 3004 ¡V Every user with some experience on computer hardware knows this formula:

CPU operation speed = FSB frequency x CPU multiplier

Users tweak their systems either by increasing FSB frequency or CPU multiplier, which is usually locked for the Pentium 4 CPU when purchased of the shelf, greatly limiting your overclocking options.

Here¦s the good news for overclockers!! ASUS Motherboards now offer the CPU Lock Free feature, which allows you to adjust CPU multiplier to 14x. The reduction of multiplier value provides more flexibility for increasing external FSB frequency to raise memory bus bandwidth.

The following example demonstrates the effectiveness of CPU Lock Free. As the table indicates, CPU Lock Free adjusted CPU multiplier from 18x to 14x, allowing the system to operate with FSB frequency up to 258MHz(maximum bandwidth 8.23GB/sec) and memory bandwidth up to 10.98GB/sec while CPU operation speed remained at 3.6GHz.

CPU Lock Free boosts overall system performance by making synchronous modification possible. Enjoy better performance at the same CPU operation speed and improve your system without pushing the CPU to the limit.

    Motherboards supporting CPU Lock Free:
    P5 AD2 Premium
    P5 AD2 Deluxe
    P5GD2 Premium
    P5GD2 Deluxe
    P5GD2 Pro
    P5GD2
    P5GD1
    P5GD1 Pro
    P5GDC Deluxe
    P5GDC-V Deluxe
    Coming soon boards:
    P5P800
    P4C800-E Deluxe
    P4P800-E Deluxe
    P4P800 SE
    P4P800-X

From what I have read it only works with the C0 not the D0. I have a SL7KC and it does not work for me either.

Can anyone confirm this for us?

I don't want to sound like I don't believe your word, but could you verify that you have a D0 stepping (even better if you could post the whole string of numbers).
The thing is that all the reports that I have read about the new CPU Lock Free feature is that it does not work for the D0 stepping. Only for the C0.
You are only one of the few that I have seen that has been able to do it and I'm trying to determine how.

    Thanks for your help.
