Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 *budget overclocking for the masses*

    All i can say is

Booted up at 505MHz FSB off the bat.

    ASUS commando (stock)
    E6320 L646G504 03/28/07 pack date (retail box)
    VID: 1.3500V
    Tjunction: 85C

    Ambient room temps- 23.4C
    IDLE CPU temps- 29C
    LOAD CPU temps- ~62C
    CPU VOLTAGE: 1.57 (REAL)

Only problem is being so FSB limited.

It feels GOOD to be excited about a new AFFORDABLE intel product!

    okay another update

    dual prime stable w/ 1.57vdimm (measured w/ multimeter) at 7*530= 3714MHz

Really not a bad value for ~185 bucks

I wish i could crank higher but Im hitting FSB limits here. I may try backing down the voltage to 1.5 and see what I can hit.

Wow, looking very good. That puts plenty of 6600's to shame. Good work irev.

    You tried maxing FSB termination?

so the only advantage to getting a E6600 is the higher multi? these are conroes with different strap and all have 4m cache correct?

They got to 3.7Ghz on e6420 in x-bit labs review. I want to see it running on a p965-s dark DFI infinity.

    sorry for sharing

i just thought others might like to know that first batches of E6320's are overclocking really well.

Im still running tests to see what end result is anyway.

again, sorry. I dont have lots of free time to write a very detailed article.

I suppose I could take lots of fancy photos of CPU, box, the test setup, lots of fans, blah blah blah... but that doesnt really tell people how the CPU overclocks. I'd rather spend the time benching, again sorry.

Tell to somebody to help you out with the review.

Review must be detailed including pictures and many stuff.

I have seen a whole heap of E6320 & E6420 cpu's for sale here in oz. Can anyone tell me what the main differences are compared to the E6300/E6400? All I know is that they come with 4mb cache instead of 2mb.

    Where are the ss?

Pictures are worth a thousand words. This goes in Intel section, not reviews.

I believe Kunaak just meant that this isn't a review. Nothing more and there certainly isn;t anything malicious about it. We are all happy you showed us. However a more appropriate title would be "New 6320 Overclocks Well" or something

OC results are good and all, but to be a review... even a quasi review, it must have something more then a single screen shot... otherwise, its just a early results post.

I can't see the pictures, only the picture in the first post, and that looks good, but like Kunaak said, that doesn't make it to a review

Very nice oc indeed... bit high voltage but nonetheless impressive, especially considering the price
I might get 2 of these, or 2 e6420 cpus instead of 1 new e6600... which I killed
