E4300 BSEL Mod to 1066 fsb

    Hello

I am searching for sure guide for BSEL modding E4300 to run from 800 to 1066 FSB default.

    I found this: http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=498167

First it was and idea on first post:
    http://www.ocforums.com/showpost.php...21&postcount=1

Some dude made this, and it didnt worked like he did first:

Then he did it other way - and this time it looks like it works:

Can anyone confirm? That this can be done like he did?

so it would look like this.......

    Is that correct?

Very bottom BSEL pin you show connected shouldn't be. Just the second and fifth BSEL pin up from the notch should be bridged. Remember, that picture is of the LGA775 socket and if bridging on the CPU the location of the pads is mirrored if looking at the underside of the CPU.

Which dude? I see no link between those pins, just the bottom one slightly discolored cos he USED to have it covered with copper ink.

Why not do some research into what the mod actually does instead of just jumping on the bandwagon totally uninformed and just going from pictures.

EDIT: BTW I bridged just second and fifth on my E4300 and it is working @ 1066. So even if it works with it 1,2 and 5 bridged it isn't necessary.

    Gigabyte GA-P965-DS4 rev 3.3

E6600 runs easily 430+ fsb on the same mobo - so i think low fsb may be only cpu's fault. I'll try to mod it for 1066 - maybe i'll help.

    Very nice mod.

Has anyone seen E4300's not able to run at 266x9 out of the box with all stock voltages? If so I'll definitely try and get this done before I boot up the first time and save myself some OC work.

EDIT: It has been brought to my attention that most all E4300's will get pretty close to 3GHz on stock voltages, so 266FSB is a no brainer it seems. Can anyone confirm that there are overclocking benefits to this mod, increased FSB ceilings or anything of the sort?
