    Exclamation Micron Original D9 deals.

    512mb D9GMH from Macbook: http://cgi.ebay.com/APPLE-Micron-RAM...QQcmdZViewItem
(ask to trade his second stick to some cheap other stuff with the same specs)

    Possible D9:
http://search.store.yahoo.com/cgi-bi...on+667&x=0&y=0 (ask them which they currently ship)
    http://www.memoryx.net/xtl1024.html (same as above)
https://usm.channelonline.com/yul/st...?id=M003553094 (ask if it's not the crucial stuff, if it is not it is D9GKXif it is the Crucial, then the price is way to high)
https://usm.channelonline.com/yul/st...?id=M003553094 (same comment as link above, make sure they are not Crucial. Website has more possible D9)
http://www.computer-memory-store.com...-pc2-6400.html (picture shows Micron Original (D9DKX), but the CAS latency doesn't match, it should be 5. Ask them for more info).
    http://www.computer-memory-store.com...-pc2-5300.html (ask, like above)

    Confirmed D9:
    http://www.compumusic.com/i214986.htm (D9GMG 256mb, much cheap fun)
    http://www.lagoom.com/Micron_256_DDR...id-558860.html (low-bin 256mb, fun and very cheap)
http://www.memory4less.com/m4l_itemd...ected=overview (D9DQT according to the part number, it's probably newer like D9GMH)

    More to come soon.......

They have access to bulk Micron Original products, so I figured I should just ask if they can get some 512MB and 1GB D9GMH and D9GKX parts specially for us. I assured them I can find plenty of takers. Many people seem to be interested in buying cheap(er) D9, so I don't think that's a problem at all.

Can anyone say what can timings I can expect it to run at on say DDR2-800 speeds? What should the maximum frequency be?

It could very well reach DDR2-800 3-3-3-*.
Maximum frequency is hard to say. You may hit DDR2-1300, you might not hit DDR2-1000. You can be pretty sure it does DDR2-1000 5-5-5-* at a safe vdimm though.

Thanks again, that sounds like what I am looking for (DDR2-800 3-3-3-*) at about the right price. Plus I already have four set of copper heatspreaders and Artic Silver adhesive ready to apply.

But I am wondering about this group buy you are organizing, should I wait?

In case others are wondering, this thread seems to described D9GHM in some detail: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=114450

I'd leave them off and put a fan over them, they stay cooler this way I think.

www.compumusic.com is currently contacting its distributor. They said they can make a nice deal if they can get the part from the distributor. Today they will report back to me.

D9GMH is certainly nice stuff. What I like about Micron Original is that you are sure you don't get memory that failed higher spec. For example if you buy Corsair or OCZ PC2-6400 it might be possible that your modules failed the PC2-8000 spec.

Offtopic: I just got myself a 1GB stick with Fatbody D9 DDR2-667 on them. Funny thing is that they are ECC
It's also Micron Original and it was only 83 euro, which is very nice.

Let us know how it overclocks and if it is indeed D9GMH, I'm 99.99% sure it is. And have fun ofcourse. It's 256MB, so it should overclock to hell

if it's a 256mb stick, it's very possible that it's D9GMG, and there are only 4 chips on the pcb, like this one:

Got a fan over those memory sticks? No? Well get to it before you kill them

I may need to order memory now but I am wondering how the D9GMH compares to this Corsair 6400PRO that is a little bit cheaper at $239.99 (for 2 x 1 GB):

Alexio, this is D9GMH, right? Not "D9GHM", that is a typo, right?

Can you say how you confirmed what this is?

EDIT: These are not exaclty the same (MT16HTF12864AY-667A3 at MemoryForLess vs. MT16HTF12864AY-667D4), but they do suggest they are D9GMH:

    http://www.via.com.tw/en/products/ch...p4m900_667.jsp
    http://www.sis.com/support/support_memory_10.htm

EDIT2: It looks like the Russians have been testing some of the MT16HTF12864AY-667D4:

    Google translation: http://64.233.179.104/translate_c?hl...%3Den%26sa%3DN

It looks like they could not get 3-3-3-10 at DDR2-800, but apparently they were limited to a DIMM voltage of 2.1 V. So, I guess that is actually pretty good.

That's what I am afraid of (and frankly I am not at all happy with Corsair's "switch-the-ICs" game either.)
