    Golden? as in gold?
Gold is crap when it comes to heat transfer.

Yeah, of course it's pure gold. Screws too . I have to much $$

Bottom is copper, pipe is brass .

I'm polished it, so it's look like gold

    Gold isn't that $$$.
Anyway, a silver pot would be awesome!
It's kinda cool looking, show some base/botton pics.

    Wasn't cleaned at photo

Inside are nine pieces of 6mm copper pipe, about 2-3cm high, central got ~5cm

Looks not good, but work superbly

BTW Silver pot? What about platinum one ?

olny silver and diamant are better in heat transfer then copper.

A silver container would be nice but quite expansive.
maby a silver base from about 5cm high would be affordable.

I'm proud to have a phase unit with silver evap

Cause of "easy" heat disposal? or perhaps heat is "getting in" too fast?

    Sure..

Basicly what it says is all the way down to about -150 silver has highest thermal conductivity, but below some point - copper has the best... - Dont remember the exact degree, but its quite a bit before the -196 deg that LN2 has..

For DICE, silver is the best...

I don't think they make that kind of calculations with material of any less purety. (did I spell that right?)
anyway, who would spend that much on a solid silver container, if you can have a solid copper + dewar for about the same price or less :P

Then again, with cold bugged CPU's the base temp is nothing like -196. Anyway... near -100°C the difference is really neglictable I guess.

The bottom is mostly what matters, lap a pure silver Kennedy half dollar and silver solder to a copper tube. Then we can also tell if your a Democrat or Republican depending on if you lap the head or tail side.
    The Laws of Thermodynamics say:

Zeroth Law: "You must play the game."
    First Law: "You can't win."
Second Law: "You can't break even."
Third Law: "You can't quit the game."

Do you wanna Play Thermodynamics ???????? I forgot "you must"

    Nice container!

I don't mean to be rude or anything... but is it me or have a few people recently started to copy others ideas ? It just seems a coincidence that there was only a thread about a gold container the other day lol .
