    w00t! 475FSB on air! E6300... 3h orthos stable

    after wrestling with my memory for the past week or so i finally decided that loosening the timings was the way to go. although i didn't really want to, i decided to loosen the memory up to 5-5-5-15 as my memory was holding me from going past 430FSB. my setup is as follows:

    E6300 L626 Retail 475x7 1.4 vCore in bios
    Gigabyte DS3 F6a
    G.Skill 2x1gb 2GBPK PC6400 4-4-4-12 @ 5-5-5-15, DDR 950
    XFX 7600GT 256mb
    74gb Raptor
    Scythe Ninja Plus
    Thermalright HR-05 NB heatsink

    superpi 1m results, 17.7sec:

    almost 3 hours of orthos so far:

    i'll have screenshots of sisoft sandra benchmarks when i'm done testing stability. what do you guys think about my temps?

    Pretty decent, in fact damn good for what you paid. 200$ CPU and 150$ mobo, and you've got more performance than an AMD64 dc at 3.5 Ghz. This is something that was only in dreams not too many months ago.

    is there any reason why your still using the F6 beta instead of the F6 retail ?

    Nice results..
    My super pi times are a bit faster @ lower clocks, im taking it this is because of your 5-5-5-15 timings..

    Is this your max speed, or are you still tweaking?

    Push her further I wanna see 3.5

    My E6300 did 500*7 at ~1.45Vcore on stock cooler with P5B vanille, orthos stable.
    No mods or whatever, too bad I sold it after 2 hours playing

    Was a better setup then my E6400+P5B dlx combo.

    Could you show us

    @an0nym0us, good effort! Allot off spi tweaking to do though... nasty theme's eating away those ms...

    I got 16.205s with E6300 and ds3, also with kind off crappy ram ( eg no d9's but elphidia I think... ).

    Link

    When I boot at 500x7 and use clockgen to go higher this is the max I can get... 511x7

    That's about where my ram begins to crumble. Think the cpu has allot left since it never seen more then 1.35 yet

    I'm stuck at 430 as well, even though my temps are well capable of more. I have a Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400, rated at 5-5-5-12. What should I raise them to in order to get passed my 430FSB? Voltage as well please.

    Are you sure you're limited by ram? If you drop a divider it's still not stable/booting? Try increasing vdim alitle.

    Maybe it's not ram/cpu limit but board fsb limit? Can you run higher fsb with lower multi's?

    Also afaik it it's a hard wall you can't beat, try running 400x7 it might be quicker then 430x7 because off the straps.

    nice results!

    I got mine to 3.4 stable as well, running 485fsb. Timings where left at 4-4-4-12-4-42. I dont want to run it that high 24/7, and the temps where a little too much for my likes (55C idle), so I brought it down to this:

    Vcore = 1.3875
    Vdimm = 2.25 @ 4-4-4-8-4-35

    fsb = 450 for 3.16ghz, super stable....Idle 50C/ load 58C

    Holy cow I'm an idiot!!!!!!!

    all this freaking time I was wondering why my 3Dmark05 scores were a little low compared to the rest of you, and it was because I had THE WRONG slot installed on my X1900XT. I had it at 4x instead of 16x because I had installed it in the universal PCIe slot, and not the real primary 16x slot...LOL!

    check it out now!!! Super stable, good temps, down from 3.38ghz (because temps were a little high for my liking):

    ps- does anyone see anything wrong with this picture??

I had it at 4x instead of 16x because I had installed it in the universal PCIe slot, and not the real primary 16x slot...LOL!

    check it out now!!! Super stable, good temps, down from 3.38ghz (because temps were a little high for my liking):

    another run with ATI set to 682/783 on the X1900XT (using the CCC overdrive, nothing special).

    13K is right around the corner...I'm sure if I increase the CPU OC to 3.25ghz or so I'll get there easy.
