So, what does the "plus" mean? What is difference between this and the PB5-E?

    Can anyone read Japanese?

Basically same layout as the other series but a budget board. That's my guess. I won't be buying it :P.

Here is the mildy amusing Google translation:

There was an opportunity which hears the story which PM of the ASUSTeK Taiwan motherboard is funnier, and compared to R&D. First the photograph is introduced.
    ...
    ...
As for ASUS P5N32-SLI Premium, product introduction has been raised already in the page of Global.
    ...

As for another one newcomer of P5B series. If the person who is understood sees, something it is different, don't you think? you become aware immediately. The next few days it publishes the interview to the motherboard development team of ASUS. Concerning the topic to these mothers, at this forum please!

Looks like Anandtech has it wrong, the P5B-E adds the ICH8R over the P5B's ICH8:

    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=114123

They also claim no US version of the P5B-E Plus.

this is the same mobo as P5B-E Rev 1.02G but its black

if the price is the same as the P5B-E i think its a great choice .

the New revison 1.02G of the P5B-E comes with :

    --2.4 Vdim

    --vMCH

    --ICH8R

    --- chipset 965 C2

What i dont understand is why only Rev 1.02G of P5B-E come with this specs.

ALL of P5B-E mobos should come with that specs because when ppl buy the board we cant see if its 1.02G or 1.01G , that suks :

    P5B-E rev 1.01G :

    --2.1vdim

    --ICH8R

    -- chipset 965 C1
    P5B-E rev 1.02G:

    ---2.4 vdim

    --ICH8R

    ---Chipset 965 C2

its a lot of important diferences between the both mobos , and the price is the same , its very stupid

    regards

Has anyone reviewed the P5B-E Plus mainboard? I dont need crossfire or SLI
and im tired of waiting for a review of the RD600. If its a good OC then this is the board. Does not have heat pipe

The plus is a newer board so it must be rev 1.02???

when have they NOT milked a product line go look at their list of other 775/478/939 boards. the only other one that does that same milking is gigabyte with the other boards. not so much the conroe ones.

Milking is a really good thing. I go after whichever milks the best, Asus, in this case.

Here I come, ASUS. Well, that shucks hear that the P5B-E Plus will not be available in U.S.. looks like P5B-D would be the best solution for me.

the DS4 is readily available anywhere and i have only one word for you DON'T!!
avoid the DS4 if you know whats good for you.

and how the devil is milking a product line good, thats the most ignorant and arrogant and unfriendly thing a company can do to a consumer.
they need 3 models at best.
    Pro
    Midlevel
    low level
nw they can also make the same ones in mATX form factor too thats fine.

but to make 4 difference performance models is 1000% retarded.
all they do is create a new board instead of fixing the issues of the current boards so people are left with a pile of sh|t in their lap instead of updates and fixes. they are forced to go spend more money.
look at asus and their a$$inine product line up
    Wd2 prem.
    WS64
    DH-Dlx
    P5B Dlx
    P5B
P5b(yet another variation of the P5B)
    P5B-E Plus
    P5LD2
    P5LD2 super duper dlx.
    the list goes on.
    now they have what ? 4 maybe 5 P5B models ? !!

and god dont even get me started on the seemingly endless number of crappy mATX boards they make for conroes.
do you realise that they have nearly 10 damn conroe mATX boards ? and none of them worth 1/2 their cost.

    they need the WS64
    the P5B Dlx
    and the P5B Vanilla

and 3 mATX boards. a performance, a midlevel and a budget.

no one else in the industry can destroy and udderly screw up a product like asus.

Look at their product line for 775,, if someone wasnt a true geek they wouldnt know what the hell board to buy

gigabyte offers 3 boards, MSI... 1 maybe 2... abit... 1.... DFI.. 1 maybe another on the way,, intel.. 1.. and several mATX...

now you tell me how the hell is milking a product line any good when all it does is saturate the market with unwanted, unneeded, and totally worthless products.

Not in the US which I didn't state earlier but I thought it was obvious since people like me gripe about no DS4 in N.A.

I'll have to avoid it since I can't find it anywhere lol.
