    TeamGroup DDR2-800 4-4-4-10 2x1GB kit

So, I've seen a few people asking where the review is on this kit.... This will be a work in progress of sorts. I've been really busy lately, but when I get time, I try to run a few more benches. Still in the process of hashing out the maximum speeds.. Feel free to make specific requests, keeping the limitations of my poor little sempron in mind

Obviously, as the title implies, the kit is rated for 4-4-4-10 at 400mhz. Not bad, but not the best stock speed. I think it can still hang in there with the big boys though......

I'll organize results by timings, then voltage, going from low to high....

    3-3-3
There is an issue with CPU-Z and 3-3-3.. not showing trp right. Oh well, it IS set to 3, I promise.
    2.39v
    403.0mhz @ 3-3-3-7, 2T - 32M completed

    2.6v
    429.1mhz @ 3-3-3-7, 2T - 32M completed

    2.81v
450.3mhz @ 3-3-3-7, 2T - 32M completed - I kinda like this shot. Things were originally turning out to be kinda boring at 3-3-3, and judging from results at lower voltage, I didn't think that 450mhz was gonna be stable at any voltage, but the sticks pulled through, they scale really well with voltage, and probably have a bit more left in them, but I'm gonna save the all out 3.0v benching for a cold night after everything else is sorted out

    4-4-3
Here... some issues were encountered. I later figured out the issue to be the trp 3, 4 was much more predictable. The long and short of it is that the results were very inconsistant. Tweaking was key here, dropping one drive strength from 1.5x to 1.0x gained about 30mhz of stability at when running 4M the same timings and voltage. Saying that I was stunned would be an undestatement. This kind of varience is most likely why I was seeing the inconsistancies I was... 2.5v ended up giving the maximum stable speed at 511mhz. 2.6v dropped it to around 495mhz. I'll be looking into this more later....

    2.5v
    511.9mhz @ 4-4-3-8, 2T - 32M completed

    4-4-4
Here most of the issues that I was having with trp 3 went away. First up.. 450mhz at 1T!

    2.2v
450.3mhz @ 4-4-4-10, 1T - 32M completed - 1T! Not bad for a sempron IMC.. I think the DFI board is helping this out a bit. I might be able to redo this shot with 3-3-3 timings and a lot more voltage, but I haven't tried yet. Note that the time is still slower than 3-3-3, 2T at the same mhz.

    2.6v
    557.6mhz @ 4-4-4-8, 2T - 32M completed - Now we're getting somewhere with the mhz....

    5-5-4
Now.. I'm surprised here. Not as good as the very top kits I've seen, but for being a random retail kit, not bad.

    2.29v
    564.8mhz @ 5-5-4-8, 2T - 32M completed

How about a smidge more voltage?
    2.39v
Here is where I start running into trouble. It's warm out, my sempron is fighting to keep up here. First I run 8M just to see what can be done.. knowing that I'm gonna hit a limit around 2.95ghz.
    591.4mhz @ 5-5-4-8, 2T - 8M completed
Seems that it barely squeezed by. Can 32M make it? Apparently so
    591.4mhz @ 5-5-4-8, 2T - 32M completed

Pushing it a bit higher, the cpu needs more volts and colder temps. Anything more than 1M will give a random reboot no matter what the ram is running at
    602mhz @ 5-5-4-8, 2T - 1M completed

    2.45v
    599.6mhz @ 5-5-4-7, 2T - 32M completed

    5-5-4 with 15c ambient!

    2.0v
    547.1mhz @ 5-5-4-7, 2T - 32M completed

    2.1v
    570.5mhz @ 5-5-4-7, 2T - 32M completed

    2.2v
    587.5mhz @ 5-5-4-7, 2T - 32M completed

    2.29v
Here I appear to be CPU limited. I'm anxiously awaiting amd's 65nm chips
Amazing that the sticks went from 564 to 610mhz at the same voltage. shows how important tweaking memory settings are, huh?
    610.3mhz @ 5-5-4-7, 2T - 32M completed

That'll be it for now. As I said earlier.. this will be updated with more results when I get them, and if anyone wants to see anything in particular, I'll be glad to do what I can...

i guess my pair just didn't feel like being clothed. naked ftw

busy day today, but i'll see if i can get any more benches up by tonight. i feel like 32m might be doable at 600mhz..

    heh, here we go....
2.45v set in bios. board is undervolting about .02v for 2.43v. not sure why when it was accurate before

ok, I figured it out. the board starts undervolting the ram when the ambient temps get low. I countered this by raising vdimm to get as close to what I wanted without going over... had some fun with the cold though

how about ddr2-1094 at 2v.. close to 550mhz with so little voltage

and to think that before I needed 2.29v to hit 564mhz
    2.2v set:

and then finally... 2.29v. hitting a cpu limit here

thanks, i was honestly surprised myself. i was a touch dissapointed initially, though 600mhz at 2.45v is still awesome. 610mhz with 2.29v is way more awesome

i've been really busy with school work lately, so i haven't been able to do any more testing, but i'll try to get some 4-4-3 and 4-4-4 results in sometime soon

oops! my bad, i thought i did. most of it can be seen in the screenshots, but..

    Sempron 3400+ AM2 - water cooled
    DFI Lanparty NF590 SLI-M2R/G
    MSI 7600GT
    OCZ Powerstream 420w
assorted drives and lots of fans

    end setup closely resembles this:
