True words my friend - for me it's even more to spend, I need a new PCI-E GPU because I'm still on AGP so I ordered a LEADTEK 6600GT EXTREME for about $250 plus price of the board - that's reality.

pretty funny i sold my 9800pro agp and bought the same graphic card as you so i spend something like 550 now and i really hope it works good because other it will be the first and last time i got a dfi mobo!

edit:ust read what patrik wrote, so now you cant even get to the 4v in bios that dfi announced in teh beggining!!
2things are ust missing now, the 1st is that sli dont work and the 2th is that it only gives 1.7v to cpu over that the mosfets goes over 200c and catches fire...... :grr:

I wouldn't be surprised. The extra load on the 5v rail may make it nessicary for the 24pin connector

Good point, maybe the board doesn't think your 5v rail is up to it which brings you back to a 20pin PSU possibly being the issue

understandable. That is a good thing about the TCCD. Very low volts needed which is less of a strain on your board and psu, not to mention less heat dissipated.

Yeah - good choice for a middle priced GPU - the EXTREME is stock clocked 550/1120 and does 590/1340 without any problems and it's fan is not noisy.

I never heard of flaming MOSFETS on DFI NF4 if You go above 1,7 Vcore - don't hope so, my FX needs 1,8 to be maxed out at 3.360.......

So all in all we spent the same ammount of money and share the same kind of hope.....

BTW, take a look at the MSI SLI DIAMOND thread - just somebody postet stable 9 x 355

I hope DFI will not be a disapointment.

NORSKIT Europe - 188 €, the product state was a long time "delivery unknown" and then suddenly overnight it went to "in stock" and I had good luck to catch one - 2 days later they're out again and now priced at 200 € and not in stock anymore.

you need to take vcore off auto and set 1.5 to 1.55 manually....then you will see upto 4V.

make sure you flash to the 125 or 126 bios also.

Seems to be a bios feature, kind of a protection against the ones who don't know what they're doing so that somebody who's not an overclocker, accidentally doesn't set it to 3.7Vdimm, for example

I'm starting to wonder if the NF4 chipset is just a poor overclocker. What I mean is, except for the best of the best overclockers, the rest of us are having a hard time with them. Seems all the current boards are flakey, they all have something.

the nforce4 is a crappy design but if anyone can work it it will be dfi.
if it wasnt for SLI, and fx 55 was on 754, then the LPUT nf3 would be everyones dream board

Go back a few pages in this thread, you will see pictures of what the new revision is, look for the sticker on your board.

Lastly follow Tony's advice, and update your bios if it is not the version number Tony refers to.

Hello im new here but I was watching the dfi posts some weeks ago. I have a 3500+ winch and OCZ plat pc3200 rev2 memory and im looking for a mobo,msi neo4 or dfi ultra. This memory dont likes voltage too much, 2,8V max i think. It is worth to take the dfi mobo or msi neo4 is best for me? my heatskink is xp-90 + enermax.
