The race is over - 20K (3DM2k1) achieved with PCX5750!!!

This weekend I had no luck with Gainward CoolFX/3500 SLI (7800GTX) - my boards were unable to reach even level of ASUS cards (in sig). So all my hopes to return in TOP-10 in ORB crushed for the moment, I should search for bette video. Only PCX5750 make my mood better now and cause to remeber a good ol' times of FX5900XT madness.

So, I'm here to gladly announce that my competition with CrazyXP1700 is over - today I broke 20K barrier in 3DM2k1 with GeForce PCX 5750, which is 2.5K more than previous record!

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8668949 - 20002 marks.

I must admit that it was very uneasy task to get to 20K.
GPU is waterchilled at +15C (can't get lower due to condensation - it is +35C ambient now, damned summer!) with 1.72V Vgpu instead of 1.33V.
Also, Vcore was raised up to 1.73V by voltmod for better stability (CPU can work at 3520 MHz but ambient temp is too hot now) and Vddr = 3.3 V (more as a precaution 'cos memory work at DDR610 2,5-8-3-3-1T at this voltage). And looks like that I needed every tiny bit of performance to get to 20K even with overkill CPU power for such lo-end VGA!

    Hehe, I feel accomplished ))

What is the different between ti4600 and PCX 5750 ?

Strange 4600 is so much better.

Maby you should have tried 44.03 or 42.51 drivers..

They are good fore ti4X00 series..

PCX5750 = typical GeForce FX 5700 non-Ultra with HSI bridge. It has TSOP mem so no doubt it's weakier than Ti4600

Nah, it's not interesting to use 44.03 for this card, 'cos no one else used it. Plus I'm not sure if it will work with PCIe card even with .inf modding.

Thanks. Well, it was a 'private' race - CrazyXP1700 stated that he will achieve 20K on PCX5750.
Fixed that score in sig - I wrote 22022 instead of 20002 ))

    Thanx!
BTW looks like 5700 is faster than 9600XT at the end ))

kinda unfair when you put a FX-57 under prommie and waterchiller on the GPU vrs a aircooled venice and a pelt'ed GPU...
but all and all it's good fun... congrats

im still gonna go for 20k... i'll probably have to swap mobo's since this damn 1T issue still isn't fixed...

    Thanks everybody, guys!

    Wow, cool avatar )

Well of course it's unfair in "olympic" terms, bro. And of course, I'm not gonna say that I have comparable rig setup to measure the pure benching skill But you mentioned that you were going to beat my previous score and rech 20k for a few times before, so I think it was OK to call this a "race" )) Just 20k was too high score to reach it with aircooled CPU. It's like no one can say now that he'll reach 45k with aircooled 7800GTX rig...
I wish you good luck with your new card and hope to see new results from you! Maybe we'll even race to the next +1K score in future...

    hwgeek
Nah, I'm too lazy for this operation Though XP1700 may consider your advice useful now to squeeze a bit more from his card.
