These Dothans have always kicked ass; they have just been crippled by lame boards that can't hit high FSB. Run some serious volts through these things on phase and it will be all over...

you're comparing a 90nm chip to 130nm.

Couple of days ago I read about 64 bit prime95 - the programmer said there is almost 100% improvement on an A64 and about 8% on iAMD64 Prescott. Intel just don't have all the physical registers I guess.

Well what is superPi could also scale twice when becoming 64 bit? If the WR for an FX is 22sec - that means about 11. But I'm not sure superPi would benefit from extra registers, as far as I know it's only about calculations, and 64bit calculations may take more than 32bit due to the better precision 64bit has.

Oh, so now that AMD is 64 bits, we can use a patch? Funny, the patch that lets Prescotts use all of its features is a "cheat" in the AMD world, but we're going to use a 64-bit version or SuperPi for AMDs?

EDIT: 20 seconds, that's just awesome. It will be broken soon thought, sub-20 I'd bet...

Nice, but I dont care about Superpi. I'm more impressed by the Dualchannel Asus/Dothan's gaming performance... but I'm waiting to see how it's successor does.

BY the way, will the adapter work with the p4c800 Deluxe, or just the -e? I know it's spec'ed for the -e, but is there really a difference between the two boards except wireless?

ASUS has just released the new BIOS for every P4C800 mobo and all P4P800s now too I guess. They all support dothan.

well, with your insane cascade, I can see under 20's easy, just make sure u get a good set of ram. BTW, cpulloverclock, can u get him (the dothan) to do pifast. I think it may be possible now, since u tweaked a little, to get #1.
