I checked the code on the resistor, it's supposed to be a 50k but you may want to double check.

kyosen used a 50k for all 3 mods but you used a 100k for the Vdimm mod. Is a 100k better? and if so, why is it better?

    503 means 50 with 3 zero's right? but what's the 420 stand for?

This is just embarrasing, I completely forgot to lock down the processor via the screw

After fastening the screw, it all worked nicely... for like half an hour
Then I booted and I noticed setFSB and clockgen not reading out the values.
I rebooted hoping that would fix it but I was greeted with a single long beep that was beeing repeated all the time.
After uninstalling the board I noticed a trace blew.

    @ kyosen / k-ohashi :

I couldn't PM or e-mail you so I hope you check this thread and can answer these questions:

    1) What is that program "maro"? What does it do?
    2) Like BitpowerPM asked: Did you find out how to do some other Vmods like Vdimm yet?
    3) Could you send me a copy of a the japanese superpi? I found a rather odd version: it has the heading in japanese symbols but the iterations consist of markings, not off japanese...

I will probably have to do a Vcore mod..anyone got a nice easy mod with pics? Im after adjustability so removing the resistor is not for me

Im still workin on debugging what i have here, for now i have disabled everything in bios and im using a pci vid card and 3com pci nic as i know the bus is at 33.3.
Seems the cpu just locks with cpu-z which points to an access violation maybe...

    More as i get it.

    1) "maro" is a small program for occupying system memory...yes for SuperPI tweaking.
but MAXMEM is almost dominant, so "maro" is my talisman rather than tweak utility

    2) No...now I'm busy at Socket939 ...but planning 2004 Final LN2 trial this weekend

    thx man

but..., I'm going to be a pain in the ass a little longer

do you have a link for maro?
when you speak of MAXMEM; is it the maxmem 104mb tweak or is it the maxmem program?

    sorry for all the questions

    My best result: Super Pi 1M @ 2,55 GHz (15x170 MHz) 4:3 RAM @ DDR453 2-3-2-5-1 at least 30 seconds.
    http://home.htp-tel.de/wknappe/dotha...han-at-max.png
Unfortunately my RAM gets unstable at higher clockrates on 3,05 Volt VDIMM.
But I am happy with this result.

If you understand german, look at this thread:

Anybody with Aopen mobo that can verify the pin mod working....because I´m stuck here...can´t go past 1.34vcore wich is 1.32v actuall and 1.305v under load.

Also any pics of measurement points for vdimm on the Aopen board..??

Yes the Pin Mod (VID4 to VSS) for CPU is working.
Measurement for VDIMM look in the attachment.

    Naughtyboy,
Yeah, do the VID4 to VSS mod and that should give you an easy 16 x 160 = 2560mHz...
    What memory are you running?

Yes, but there is another easy voltmod, too.
VDIMM directly attached to the 3,3 Volt of the Power Supply.

    Thnx alot guys...

Charlie: I´m running 2x512mb TCCD..that will do 280ish with decent timings and 2.9v.
I´ll do the vid4 mod and just hope for the best

Bitpower: I´m not sure about the 3,3->vdimm mod...haven´t had the opurtunity to feed my sticks with above 2.9 so I don´t know how they will respond to that kind of voltage. So the vdimm mod in the first pic feel a little more secure....doesn´t look to hard, shouldn´t be a problem even thou my soldering skills are moderate.

Another thing I noticed, there is some "thingy" going on with the agp/pci locks.
When I get above 135fsb and use 66/33 lock...the board/cpu will default back to 100x16 and everything feels veeery slow, takes ages to load windows. But if I set 75/37 (I think it is) when I go above 135fsb, everything is just peachy...works like a charm.

66/33 fix seems to be not working. 75/37,5 mhz fix works better.

You can build a voltage regulator from the 5 volt to v-dimm like in the second vdimm mod.
Look at the circuitplan. I do it with a 2 kOhm trimmer and a 220 Ohm resistor.

TwinMOS TwiSTER pro TCCD at 3,1 Volt, but no higher clockrates possibel, unfortunately.
