did you try different ram yet?
QX 9650 5ghz with 1.55v 4.8ghz with 1.5v 24/7 in a VAPOLI V-2000B+ Single stage phase cooling.
DFI LP LT X-38 T2R
2X HD4850's water cooled , volt modded
Thermaltake 1KW Psu
4x Seagate 250GB in RAID 0
8GB crucial ballistix ram
Argh that sucks for you. ive had a p4p800e-deluxe do that i was overclocking with clockgen & it pwnd my mobo. Same beep code in a loop. I tried it about 6 mnths later with different ram and it worked, though the Geil that was on it when it stuffed up never worked on it again, but were fine on another board.
my strikers voltage regulators/socket half died - not enuf power getting to the cpu or somesuch - tested the mobo with 2 cpus - one worked only at very low clocks the other not at all. tried all BIOS's from 0402 0701 0901 1002 1004 1102 1202 1301...
i damaged the nb and cant rma it...good riddance to SLI for me.
yeah: almost certain mine was nb related death.

er yes did this happen to you? I will try the memory in a new board just to test it's not fried but i've tried alternate memory in the board and that didn't work
I've had that long short short short beep code before. I don't think its something 2 freak out over.
Try resetting the cmos then take out the cmos battery and unplug the power for a good 30 min or so.
Oh and try single stick of some regular memory like 533 or 666.

I have had this issue as well in the past. I could have sworn my board was toast but I took it out, removed the battery, couldn't find any signs of burns/bad capacitors/or bent pins. I plugged everything back in with battery and it booted right back up. Can't hurt to try clearing cmos.
I was playing around with one of my old computers and it gave 1 long 4 short, googled and found this thread oh the irony :-) I think I have got my money worth out of this board but it was the most expensive board I have bought to date and I want to wring every last penny from it especialy as ASUS made me RMA it to the US for repairs .
( it was bought there and smuggled over lol). I can't believe they don't have an international warranty ...unbelievable!!!
Retro post !
i remember My Striker died a few years ago...rest in peace
(at least served to make a pretty picture)

i picked one of these up a few years ago on the semi cheap side to use in a seldomly used rig i keep in the garage and it worked for a little bit then no matter what i kept getting the cpu init crap on the lcd thing in the i/o panel. even tried some simple celeron cpu i got in a dell and basic memory and nothing.
tried the battery pull and cmos clear and still nothing. kinda gave up on it and turned it into a wall ornament behind the monitors on my desk.

Yeah the CPUinit thing was a bugbear on tht ?200 + motherboard. I popped in a new battery and it all seems okay I had to see what was on the old raid from 2008 it was a pile of old rubbish well thats two 500GB drives that can be put to better use :-) Nice burning pic I am going to smash mine into pieces and send it back to Asus US when mine eventually dies lol
