ECC soft error count reporting / monitoring on Windows

On a Windows system with ECC RAM installed, how do I check / monitor the number of soft and hard ECC errors that have occurred? Are any special motherboard / chipset drivers required?

    Thanks!

Edit: A similar question was asked here http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/w...c-0fe9c023e32f. While the MS reply mentioned WHEA and PFA (e.g. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...(v=vs.85).aspx), a later response basically implies the answer to my question is "you can't". Surely the memory controller knows when ECC errors occur, and I'm trying to figure out in practical terms how one gets at that information.
