Been a while since these were this clean

I figured I'd snap some pics of pots after I cleaned them.

This is probably the one thing I hate about ocing and procrastinate the most on but finally I got it done.

They needed to be cleaned for new machining etc etc. Vince's gpu pots are getting fitted with wide mouth tops by vince himself.

The Otter pot is going to my good friend Aaron Schradin from ln2cooling.com for some modifications, mostly in the mounting compatibilty department due to it's rather intrusive base.

This is miah's pot, bet it's been a while since you have seen it that clean miah

Anyway more pics when they come back from there journey.

Day 1 acetone bath, day 2 fingernail brush scrub in acetone followed by brillo pad light scrubbing ( all to remove armaflex glue and tape residue ).

Step 3 was boiling in cocacola bath to remove oxidation.

brian they look brand new! thanks for the tips man. I finally scored some REAL pots from vince so this is good to know. I hope i get them tomorrow. I need to wake up at 8am to get ln3 for the weekend. they are closing early for the holiday weekend.

LOL at the coke bath. I stopped drinking regular coke and moved to diet coke because of this reason.

This guy finally came back from it's trip from ln2cooling.com

Miah wanted the internals left alone although we had a few ideas to improve internals it was left alone.....

Just changed/shaved the base so it did not interfere with motherboard components as it did prior.

Agreed, there are many ways and plenty of mass in this pot to experiment a little however miah just wanted it to fit all mobo's. I think the base was hitting caps on a gig board prior.

I placed it on various boards before I sent it out the get shaved it clears everything now. The base is just a tad larger than gulftown, future proofed for future sockets, the base is the exact size of intels future chips IHS.
