Just got a DMM and have few questions

Hi, well I finnaly got a DMM and I never had any experience with them till now.

My question is what to trust my DMM (cheap one) or the MBM.

DMM shows my 12v at about 12.16v and MBM it goes all the way down to 11.60v under load.

Also on the DMM the voltages don't fluctuate while on MBM they go from 11.60 to 11.87v

I am mesuring with the DMM from molex.


otherwise the DMM seems ok, i played with pots on one of the PSUs and the DMM picks up the changes in voltages right away

ATX Plug and ur molex plugs are on different rails...

only way to really find out is to measure directly from ATX plug while under load..

OK so sticking the dmm into the ATX connector with yellow wire (where i marked) and in any Black wire (Com) would give me the 12v reading, right?

Could i use one of the black wires from a molex when mesuring power in the atx plug?


an would any of the 5v lines in the atx plug do for mesuring or do i need certain one of them
