    180L Liquid Nitrogen Dewar Fittings

Does anyone know what specific fitting is used for the liquid feeds on 180L liquid nitrogen dewars in America? I think it's a 3/4" flare fitting judging on what my handy dandy ruler + eyeball tell me but I'm not positive. Google isn't telling me anything useful, just pulls up random stuff about liquid nitrogen.

I hear putting a firecracker inside of a dewar will expand it, maybe that's how they grow the 180L from 25L? Finally got off my lazy arse and assembled a cheap liquid feed, total cost: ~$5 USD.

It's a 24" piece of 1/2" diameter copper pipe flared at the end with the 1/2" flare fitting over it. Over all this is armaflex insulation with 1/2" thick walls. Lots of 1/2" up this is biatch

    Damn.. is it 1/2 flare?

I got a 160L at home right now, and I need to feed Cpt.Planet 30l dewar.. so I need a line. My eyeball and ruler said 3/4" too.. and that is what I got from lowes this morning.. damn.. time to go back at lunch.

No!!! There are WAY cheaper dewars in e-bay. You just have to wait until the right auction comes up. Also you have to make SURE that the evaporation rates are pretty close to manufacturer specs.
I am talking about 35ltr dewars which are most common. I bought mine for $220 from e-bay. What kills you is the freight cost and customs fees.
