Vista HP x64 SP1 and the TLB fix

If you patch SP1 into Vista it will force the TLB fix onto a Phenom 9600, my question is would it do it to the 9850 as well? It shouldn't because the chip doesn't need it and I know that doesn't mean a thing.

i was wondering the same question, does it apply to a 9850BE?

well im not sure, as winrar is a dead givaway if it is enabled, there was also a rumour that it applied to XPSP3, so i decided to bench the lot, here are the results,

now you can see a moajor performance hit in Winrar with SP1 instaled, take this as you will, i say that maybe it is indeed applied and that, its only affecting some multi apps.

i also took a 5 -10 FPS hit in crysis, but thats another story, hope this helps
