8800gts 320mb question. Can any1 help

Im new to this as ive just joined the forums but have a question that i cant find answered on the site.

Is it possible that the disabled stream processors on the 8800gts cards can be re-enabled or is that these are disable because they faulty in some way.

People have tried (and AFAIK failed) to enable the extra SP on the GTS cards. They are disabled physically, maybe occasionally through supply and demand, but mainly due to being faulty I reckon.
