When you overckock GPU shaders go Automatic,editing bios Do Not change anything ,i lowered shaders by editing bios and i set GPU at 890 shaders 1890 like before and 3dm06 score was lower then before 6345 vs 6577.
The best settings I have gpu@865 shaders 1890.
Shaders DO NOT overclock more then 1890 with Vcore 1.6V

in Xpand Rally Xtreme you can see MOD performance vs stock overclocking,shaders moved 10mhz than stock.
I`ll have second card next monday,next mod ,next tests but SLI performance.

Do you think it's possible to add a psu mod but instead of wires could I just detach a old psu hookup off a burnt card I have . Here are the pics of the psu connector I could detach , it looks pretty easy but I'm not sure how it would fit. BTW the card is a fx3500 that was dropped and never worked if anyone knows what could be salvaged let me know .

I'm thrilled to report that Chri5g's results are no fluke.

I've got the same card, and I am seeing similar results with my voltage modified, Zalman cooler equipped card. I'm running vcore = 1.70V, vmem = 2.25V. Fully loaded, my temp is a pretty stable 56-57C.

My mem wouldn't clock as high, but my core went even higher:


That's a 66% oc on the core!

For those interested in doing this mod; I followed this guide on VR-Zone: http://www.vr-zone.com/index.php?i=4925&s=4. The Inno3D card is laid out just like the eVga card. I attached two 25Kohm variable resistors and 3 voltage reading posts to the card. Here's what the mod looks like:




As it turns out, the ground post isn't really necessary. I just make the ground connection to my case when taking readings.

Even though I like the 8600gt, I don't think those drivers will be enough of a difference. Besides, isn't there supposed to be some sort of problem with those drivers?
