    XSOS V3.0 Beta

XSOS once again is looking for a pool of beta testers.
Basic requirements include the ability to burn an ISO image onto a DVD and do a basic windows Style install.
Helpful extras include the ability to try installing applications you use and see if they work and then telling me.
    Minimal required system (or better):
    Pentium 3 300Mhz (or better)
    256 MB Ram (or better)
    1.5GB Hard drive (or better)
    SVGA graphics card
    DVD Burner (or better)
    Mouse
To sign up, just post here and we will contact you when your beta is ready

    1) This is not Warez
    2) this was made with permission and assistance from Microsoft
    3) No we are not going to release the source code
    4) As per the microsoft agreement we request you to own a valid microsoft operating system.
    5) The beta versions will be given in groups and you have to know how to check MD5s, unzip Rar files and how to burn ISO images.

Curious, is it dual capable? My main rig is an MSI K7D Master-L with modded XP chips.
Otherwise, I cover the rest with ease.
So, if it can handle a dual system, hook me up. ~_^

All versions of XSOS support Dual setups, V1.2 supported up to 64 processing cores. our upcoming version supports multicore to a greatly improved degree that is true. And yes we do have NUMA working

Also, apologies for the ignorance, but, um... what is NUMA?

Non-Uniform Memory Access or Non-Uniform Memory Architecture (NUMA) is a computer memory design used in multiprocessors, where the memory access time depends on the memory location relative to a processor. Thus greatly improving SMP scaling and the associated performance. Currently the only other Operating system that supports NUMA and also supports DirectX is Windows 2003 Data center

I'm in, if I'm able to install it on D:... I'll try to install all programs I normally use, although I don't expect they will be all supported on this benchmarking OS.

AMD 2000+, 1 gig memory, Radeon x800 PRO.
AMD 1,92 Ghz. Overclocked it 9 Mhz.
At least I know I can do it.

I know I don't have very many posts but I've lurked here for a while and I've followed your work as well as Clint's work as far back as when he released win 2k3 Appliance Edition, which I ran for nearly a year. I'm currently using xsos v2.02. Anyway if I qualify, count me in .
