Clear cmos, do i have to remove battery (p5w DH Deluxe)

I have my system in a HTPC chassi and have not alot of space.
Now i have to clear cmos and the manual says i have to remove battery.
Do i have to do that or can i just cut the power and move the jumper for a few min.???
i have to take alot of stuff out of my chassi to get the battery out, so it would be nice if i can skip that part.
Sorry all for my very poor/bad english.

    My System

Doubt anything will be broken by not taking the battery out, but you might find some CMOS settings don't work as they should.
