Thanks for the link Soki. Just flashed my DS4 with that latest BIOS, am now stable at 400fsb (2.8ghz), but still having this problem I've mentioned in it's own thread as only putting my 7800GTX into PCI Express 1x mode

Any new beta bios?
So do the new (F4 - beta) BIOSes fixes the Cas3 problem?
Was it that the old BIOS always forced Cas 3 ? or was it just CPU-Z misreporting?
Obviously, I've tried the Ctrl+F1 trick to manually set it.
Cas 3-5 always shows up in CPU-Z as Cas 3.
Cas 6 makes the computer go in to a reboot loop, that requires a Clear CMOS!
If so I think thats what may be limiting my overclock, right now. (I've got some cheap DDR667 that doesn't go very high at Cas3)

well one of the guys here is using some ocz GTX 6400 stuff at 1024mhz i think he said might be slightly higher so i guess the issue now comes down to ram or mobo.
Ken if you get the opportunity and can test other ram that can handle 1000mhz please do so.
i truly would hate to think that this ram i got is crap. but it wouldnt be the first time i got crappy ram that was high end stuff. just the bad luck of the batch i guess.

The new 3d bios for DS4 improved my oc, solved my graphics card problem. So for those of you with DS4, go get the new bios quick.
RonTheMan what was the graphic card problem you were having?

The way F4e handles errors on a cold boot is terrible. Apparently my system doesn't like the settings on a cold boot so it's automatically resetting everything to stock. The problem? After it does this, my system boots so fast at 1.86 GHz that I get into Windows before my 21" CRT wakes up. LOL. So I have to reboot and re-enable my overclock. F4a didn't do this crap on a cold boot. It game me some random message about HDD failure and I hit reset and was on my way at the overclocked speeds. I'm going back to F4a. I don't want everything resetting on me every time. If there is an error, I'd like the boot to stop on the error and give me a chance to warm reset on my own or enter the BIOS to clear up the error. Automation is annoying.

Gigabyte please fix the vcore bug in DS4 http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=111166
And The Dq6!!!
With the F2 Bios on the DQ6 it seems to depend on the memory multiplier, if the cas setting is ignored or not.Originally Posted by chrisf6969

would like to try the latest F3 bios, but no floppy atm and winflash says file size doesn't match (md5 sum is correct).

I flashed my bios to F2 with no problem, but then I just flashed my BIOS to F3E using the @bios utility and now the system cycles power over and over until I turn it off at the PSU. I have reset the bios according to the manual by removing the CMOS battery for a couple minutes. No help. Any ideas before I return the board?
Thanks
All other bios prior to 3d would not allow any oc if my 7600GST was installed, not even 1mhz. Now it works.Originally Posted by charlatanefc
