7800GT sli woes, can't go a single mhz over stock for 3d05

Ok just got my 7800GT SLI setup for christmas 2.8ghz on my 165 gets me 13200 stock cards on an untweaked daily windows install. I started OCing the cards and I hit a wall fast. I can run 3d05 through no artifacts at 475/1120 no problem but a single mhz over the stock 445mhz core and I get 33 fps GT2 instead of 40+ and it kills my scores GT1 and GT3 run great though, better than ever. What's wrong?

Yes he did, I killed all processes and it worked. Booted diag mode and ran 486/1180 2.8ghz dual core and got 13.9k 05 and 29.3k 03 Need another zalman and vmods... Then the fun begins

I think I heard something about both ATI processes needed to be Disabled thru Services.msc (or msconfig) to be able to clock both cards. Don't quote me on that, though. Diagnostic Boot works as well as it does same thing.

Good luck with your new toys

Both cards conduct themselves separately equally? There can be different opportunities for GPUs overclocking.

I already fixed it What's pissing me off is that my first card can bench 527mhz and the new one locks as soon as I set 500mhz. I guess I need a new cooler and volts...

Nice score. I don't get why we have almost the exact same score and your cards are clocked a lot lower than mine??? I know dual cores score higher than a comparably clocked single core but I'd think a single core at 3.15GHz would be about even with a dual core at 2.8GHz.

Here is a link to my score: 13,966
