    I'm trying to find some time tonight to mod some cards and test a bit. Did you get rid of thermal bug too? If so, I'll give this a shot. I need to flash off the stock bios anyway for the temp issue.

    Don't try that moded bios; he he 2600 MHz mem speed in 3D

    As for the timings;

    These marked 4 ones makes a difference , the others are blaha blaha or a black/corrupted screen.
    Once I tried the 6800GT timings on my 7800GTX but he he ...

    I'm currently using: 07111E18-0A01060A-20260509 // perfect for my card!
    s754 PCIe; EPoX EP-8NPAJ // Claw 3700+ // 7800GTX // Cors BH-5 1GB // OCZ 520W // WinXP

    But you get a clue from it what value is what.

    The bold above is not so "blah-blah" I guess as you have changed it. All else is the same or changed (if circled in red). So, did you mean to circle more?

    The "06" you made red in circle is not just 1 value i think.
    The 6 is one timing and the 0 is another timings.
    But im not sure about it.
    If anyone know how to translate this into TRC TRAS and such then feel free to post =)

    Any idea what any of these setting do or is it completely hit and miss? I wouldn't mind loosening up some timings if it means more Mhz out of the memory. Raw speed always seems to win.

    Download ntimings and take a look at it.
    First digit is TRP, next digit is TRCD and next 2 digits are TRAS.
    So i tried change TRCD from 8 to 6 and TRAS from 19 to 16 and it gave me ~20 points in 3Dmark05.
    Been running 05 problaly 30-40 times last 3 days, and this change in timings bumped score with 20 points with same clock as before.
    Its one SMALL increase but fun
    Its so much flashing bios and running 3Dmark its takes some time to play with when you dont have enough info on timings.
    Will try change some other values as soon as i have time.

    That's right, even though 111E18 are blaha blaha values I chosed them because;

    6800GT=060f1B15
    7800GTX=6800U=0813211B

    The middle values of these 2 mem timings strings will be;

    07111E18

    Thus I'll keep their relative values unchanged.

    Hope You understand my poor english.

    HEX, always 2 digits in the bios.
    06 = 1 value

    Thanks that makes sense.

    So we have stock timings like this:

    08 =?
    19 =?
    33 =?
    27

    10
    01
    06
    10

    32
    39
    05
    09

    Next person with any info can explain what values this is ?

    Set timings0 to 06101E19 and you should get at least 50 points more in 05.
    I just hit 9601 points!

    *update*

    Timings0 060F1E19
    Timings1 0901070A

    This is what it looks in "real" value:

    Timing0
    08 -> 06
    19 -> 15
    33 -> 30
    27 -> 25

    Timing1
    10 -> 09
    01 01
    06 -> 07 (05 gave lower score)
    10 10

    Lowered RAM clock with 2mhz but raised score with 10 first try.

    So far this timings has taken me from an absolute max of 9550 score to 9618.
    Making a 100score improvment by the end of the day should not be impossible or ?

    God this is fun (except when gfx get scrambled and need to blindflash)
    TIMING0 : 060F1E17
    TIMING1 : 0901070A
    TIMING2 : 20270508

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1227800

    So far 9659 in 05 and im using same clocks as for the 9550 score before.
    Will try to get 9700..

    Final bios (i think)
    Getting over 9700 was everything but easy =(
    Im quite happy that i was able to do it anyway but it got very annoying at end trying to reach those last points needed.
    Soo many flashes and blind flashes!
    I would be happy if anyone could test this bios and check score in 05.
    It runs 500/1300 stock with 45+ geo clock and throttle mode deleted.
    I got 9713 points with it and maxclock on RAM went from 1468 to 1474.
    Some times i wonder if my ram get burned in or something cuz it always crashed at 1468 an week ago or so.
    Sounds odd but room temp is the same if not even warmer then before.
    I have no idea how it performs in games or other apps but it does well in 05 with my card.
    So if anyone is willing to try plz do so and post back.

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1231405

    I have ramsinks on my card and cpu cooler.
    Rams might run hotter but i cant check that.
    I cant seem to disable temp monitoring even when author of Nibitor tells me its so easy just untick 6600 trick.
    Got banned from their forum so its up to someone else to do that mod if this bios works good on other card for other people.

    Timings used in bios for people that just wanna mod their own is:
    Timingset 7 in Nibitor:
    Timing0= 06101C17
    Timing1= 0901060A
    Timing2= 20270509

    If you want to play with the timings then play with Timings0 as they make most difference.
    Timing1 and timing2 makes wierd dots on screen when lowering any of their values except 2-3 value.
    It can be improved i guess.

    Is it possible to flash cards while installed in SLI? Give me directions and I will try this out with my FX-57 system.

    Here is same bios but with an +60 geo clock for those that cant get over 526 on GPU.
    Should clock higher then regular +40 geo clock bios but wont get that jump in score but instead a small increase.

    It runs 501/1300 with geo clock +45 and has 2 timings changed.
    Its the best i have tried so far, might lower ram clocking a few mhz.
    Bases on ASUS TOP bios.

    *updated bios to correct ram speed =)*
    Do you have original Asus EN7800gtx TOP vga bios by chance?
    If you do pls attach, thanks.

    Firs of all , very nice work .

    I didn't understand what you wrote . Why with the geo clock set to 60+ the card would clock higher ? If i understood what the 3dguru guys said is that this delta is added to the core clock in the geometric domain when the gpu is under load , so if i am using 430Mhz with 60 geo clock my geometric domain clock would be 490 ......Why whould it help me to go any further in my overclock ?

    Have you tested your modded bios in other stuff besides 3DM2k5 ? (Aqua/Games .... ? ) . Any issue ?

    Try the timings posted in nibitor thread, if they work good for you then make a bios with them and flash it.
    I tried them with americas army and some demos and i had no problems.
    If you card cant go above 527 with stock bios then you can try add more then +40 and see if it goes a little higher.
    No big scores to gain.
    I have not seen any feedback yet except from a small competition on a swedish forum, i had 10-20 more points before he changed timings and then it was game over for me =)

    Ubermann ,i 've opened your bios in Nibitor and i saw you changed timingset0 and 7 . My card is using timmingset4 (when click in "autoselect timingset " ) , so i assume it has no effect editing the timingset the card is not using. Right ? When i try to set the timings you wrote on the timmingset4 it screws up my screen .

    BTW , you card is exactly the same as mine .

    Another thing that is weird for me , is that your timmings are much bigger than stock , so it is supposed to be worst . How did you get the extra points ?

    That is not my timings =)
    Mine use timingsset7 and timingsset0 was edited by mistake.
    I have not raised any value, the values that are edited is lowered.
    I see people edit bios for 6800 cards and make them clock higher but i dont know why you would want to raise timings.

    Best timings so far:
    Timings0: 06091C16
    Timings1: 0901060A
    Timings2: 20250509

    Check with rivatuner what timingsset your card is using.
    Timingsset 4 sounds odd for that card.
