A8V 1009 beta 2 works great with Winchester and a Mach2

having had a shed load of problems getting a stable A64 system with a Wincester and A8V in conjunction with a Mach2 i am pleased to say the 1009 Beta 2 bios seems to be the way to go

Had a quick go at overclocking last night and was SuperPi (1mb test) at 2.6Ghz - this beta bios fixes the SuperPi/Prime rounding error bug. The Asus reports the cpu load temp correctly as well (-18c idle, -10c load)

I know there have been quite a few people with Mach2/ A64 issues so though I would share my experience - until i test my new Ballistix ram i ain't gonna try for more, can anyone recommend what memory settings to use for 250fsb+ 1:1 ?

Get over it. Those rounding errors you speak of were non-existent with previous BIOS versions as well.

with 1007 bios no errors at stock, with 1008 and 1008 beta bioses rounding errors were immediate even at stock

with latest beta rounding errors non existent, even up to 260fsb

THis is my first hand experience
