Chilly1 kit on P5WD2?

I have a Chilly1 kit on order and was wondering if anyone has pics of one installed on an Asus P5WD2? In particular, I'd like to see/know if the evap insulation has any problems mounting cleanly around the socket. There are a lot of caps, coils, mosfets and of course the mosfet sink is pretty close. Chilly says just trim the insulation as needed, but I'd like to hear from someone with one on this mobo how much is involved to get it to fit well.

Also, does anyone know for sure if the Vapo LS 775 socket kit will fit the Chilly1 evap?

Here is the A64 and its pretty close.

My camera is on my desk at work so it will be a bit before I can upload P5WD2 images.

double layer of armaflex on the back of the board.
put the screws through the armaflex.
one layer of armaflex on the front of the board, up on to the sides of the socket but not higher than the cpu core.
then just use the foam ring that comes with the evap and it's good to go. mine's working fine at -116C.

FUGGER, yeah I saw that A64 install...that's what was making me a little concerned on the P5WD2 I see that it's pressing against the caps and mem stick on that install and it looks like the P5WD2 coils and FET sink are as close or closer. I am trying to find out if the LS 775 socket fit Chilly's evap just in case.

Whenever you get a chance to get the pics of the P5WD2 up, I would REALLY appreciate it!

chilly's evap/mounting kit definately fits p5wd2. fugger and i are both using it, as are others, i'm sure. dont' worry.

I had the cascade before i had the 830.

Nice OC and temps. I assume the 830 is a lot warmer than what you had before? I am still tossing up getting a 6xx or 8xx to replace my 550. I am leaning towards a 660 just because I don't want to deal with the heat on a 8xx for processing power that I probably won't ever really "need".

Thanks for the pic. Those caps/coils on the right side of the socket in your pic are exactly what I am worried about...I can't imagine how the insulation would drop around them to seal against the armaflex/mobo. How much of the insulation did you have to cut out to get it to fit? Do you have a pic of the evap installed on top of that (preferrably at mobo level from the side)?

I don't see any kind of coating (conformal, liquid tape, etc.) on the board or caps..are you relying just the insulation?

I didn't cut away any of the insulation... it is foam... the pressure from the hold down will make it form a good seal against the armaflex.

and no, i don't use any coating at all... i used to but it just makes a mess and doesn't help... if you have a good seal from insulation the coating isn't neccessary.

I guess the armaflex is high enough that it doesn't effect making a seal...just doesn't use the whole width of the insulation. I guess as long as it seals and the caps under it aren't getting too hot from being partially covered, it's all good.

I see you're using an OCZ Powerstream...are you using the 8-pin EPS *and* the EZ_Plug?? Notice any difference?

i'm not using the ez-plug

i haven't tried it so i can't say if there's a difference or not.

Gotcha. I wonder if there's any benefit to running all of them (all 8 pins and EZ Plug)? I put the 2 4-pin P4s together to use the 8-pin on my OCZ. I might have to try adding a molex to the EZ Plug and see what happens...

hi , may i ask what ram and timings you are using with that set up? whats your 3dmark 03 like at that speed?
