A late 2005 stepping that I recently got on a Opty 185 was ACB2E 0548UPMW. Good almost to 3200 mhz on high end regular water. Same stepping as this FX60 reviewed below which also clocked very high:

Wow does it do 4GHz on stock volts? Not long till we see this thread turn the way of the first one. And no, I don't mean closed But the quote pretty much sums it up.

at first i thought it was a bum. but turns out i think my ram was the bum. i haven't made an effort to push it yet. i'm just starting to get my system set up properly. its at 266x9 stock volts right now with 2/3div.

@masterofpuppets - I mean _no_ disrespect, honest, I'm trying to learn here, but _your_ posts seem antagonistic to me. I would think this was the proper place for people to post what they are accomplishing with their Dual Core Opteron's. While some of it might be just for bragging rights, I've used the previous thread and the very first post of this thread so far to help me (a virtual newb) understand:

what steppings are doing well
where they are coming from
what to expect from stepping X

Peppered here and there in the previous thread was even some discussion on settings and what not.

Is this _not_ what this thread is supposed to be about? I'm not baiting, I'm sincerely asking so that I don't fall prey to the mod stick of doom. I was _just_ about to post my results with my CCBBE 0610DPMW.

what would you say would be a OC that would put this chip in the top 165 bracket? 2800mhz+?

@itznfb, to get in the recommended group a stepping has to have multiple chips hit 3ghz.

Compgeek? First thread says CCBWE 0546MPMW doesnt reach 2.8, however mine does 2.8 with 1.55v after that gains are like .5v for 50mhz more.

I guess i just got lucky.

On another note i was thinking of trying my luck with another 165, but i can only afford one if i can sell the one i have for the cost of a new one, possible?

In the previous thread, it took alot of self-quoting before anybody actually answered my questions. And it looks like it will be the same in this thread. The majority of the posts here look like people boasting about their amazing steppings. Not particularily helpful. Granted it's better they post their stepping-pimping here than make a whole thread to themselves, but I primarily come to XS to recieve advice, not read through 100's of lookalike posts asking which stepping to go for, or pimping their chips. The former group of users need to read the first post in this thread, and the 2nd need to shut up and realize that they aren't really contributing, just showing off. [/rant]

yea possible.

And the ones on that list are only the ones that rarely hit 2.8, if it were based on the steppings that never hit 2.8 there wouldn't be anything in the list Chances are you wont hit 2.8 with those steppings.

I'd like to know who's gotten what steppings from which vendors in the past week or two. I ordered from Monarch on 4/18 and got an 0607 POS. I'm ordering another, but don't want to get another chip from the same tray.
