Question What have you got folding for XS?

Well the title says it all really. Although specs of machines & farms are mentioned elsewhere around the folding forum, I thought it would be interesting to have a dedicated thread, and see exactly what machines are out there grinding out work units for 36362. Go into as much or as little detail as you wish, and post some pics too while you're at it

    Angra & jimwah: looks great

Can't help the fact Angra's rack makes me
BTW jimwah: nice way to name those boxes
Personally haven't got nothing special... but just got one water cooling version ready and full folding temp seems to be max 34 C (gpu is @wc loop too). Perhaps oneday I had to post a pic of that loop.

Heh good call on the name sc00p cheers.

Nice tweak on the Thunderbird 1Ghz Nick, does she know she's folding for XS lol. I swear the 1Ghz Athlon I had did more work than the 1.7GHz P4 I have running, need to clock it up a bit soon.

Welcome Welz & thanks for bringing your machines over to XS

Our production looks pretty good on the charts @ extremeoverclocking.com, The Ronald Reagan team are storming through, but we could give the ~20k per day teams behind us a real battle with new team members.

Nice system cronic, must be great for gaming and cranks out a good daily average looking at the stats

I've finally got an Antec P180 box for my dual Xeon, but the active heatsinks I have don't sit on the cpu's properly - bah. Will have to find some clip-type HSF's to go on there, good job I'm not in a rush to put this system together

Nice selection Fem & BugsBMD Lots of lovely AMD power. I reboxed a few of my machines, got a cheap chieftec case off a friend for 20 quid so I put my Opteron in there and promoted my AXP out of its horrible beige box I'll post a piccie or two later. My sempron's still devoted to the 9600se OC Competition, but should be back on 24/7 in a week or so.

Hope you find an HDD twiggy, I must admit my machines have nasty old disks in them, mostly old 10Gb jobs I've salvaged from machines I've upgraded for people. I say that I'll kindly take their old machine to be recycled (but not before I've stripped it of anything useful)

Seriously considering getting one of those Intel 805 chips & a half decent board for it, overclocked to 3.6Ghz I guess it would throw out as many points as 2 Pentium550's. Probably should have gone for that rather than the xeons, but I've started so I'll finish.

Sorted, got a PCP&C 510 EPS power supply, & a pair of Thermaltake a1608 heatsinks. Both procs are at about 40C @ 50% load, and its not too loud either considering they're 5k rpm fans. The P180 takes a bit of messing about to get it all cabled up nicely, but its pretty damn cool in there.

Currently my camera is not with me but once it is I'll take pics of the systems. Oh and you are gonna laugh at I know at least one, but the reason why you'll have to wait and see why

    A64 3700+ @ 2.86GHz 2GB RAM
    A64 2800+ 512MB RAM
    P4 2.8GHz 384MB RAM
    Duron 1.2GHz 256MB RAM
    P3 750MHz 256MB RAM

One more system on its way with another possible, depending on whether its HW is functional or not. The P3 750MHz actually has 512MB RAM in it but only reads half If I put in 256MB it reads half of that as well so I have to "waste" RAM to make it read enough to function properly. It is an old DFI slot 1 board and hearing about how DFI can be a pain to set up properly maybe I just don't have something set right.

Pics will come later, hopefully with the final specs of the last one or two systems as well
