OCZ EL Platinum Revision 2 (2x512mb) HELP!!

I have been running this ram at these settings right here for a month or so because everything else seems to fail on me :

so I read on another post that I should possibly try these settings out :

the 2nd image settings didnt pass spi1m but held stable on memtest for an hour with no errors, first image is 32m stable but seems to act up on GT3 on 3dm05

willing to try anything reply here or msg me on aim chrisxc06

btw both of those are running at 2.8v

edit: nm on the 2nd pic tweaker settings, but just so you know, you need to open tweaker after you open CPUz, and if you open tweaker first, hit refresh, those timings aren't what your ram is actually running...didn't think about that the first time

maybe try your first settings again, but loosen CAS latency to 2.5. try that first, you may just be reaching the limit of 2-3-3 timings.

once you get an accurate tweaker screen for the second set of timings, then maybe we can help you a little better with it

You should not need 2.8v for TCCD to run at any decent speed, certainly not for 275MHz. Start from 2.6v or 2.7v in BIOS. What Drive Strength/Data Drive Strength are set in BIOS now? Auto/Auto, perhaps? I see you have it Weak in A64Tweaker - have you tried setting it manually to 7-2 or 7-3?

What happens when you change latencies at 275MHz to 6-3-4-2.5-1T? Does that help any?

what would u recommend having drive strength set at? and yes it prolly is auto in bios as i havent messed with anything but timings and the sort, and i will try 2.5-4-3-6 when i get up tomorrow

    so i tried 2.5-3-4-6 didn't work either :/

    gonna keep working on it

With TCCD, weaker drive strength for more voltage, stronger drive strength for lower voltage.

Best for me was 8/1 at 2.5v which was good for about 285MHz at 2.5-3-3. 300MHz at 2.5-4-3.

Those timings are all over the place. You need to lower trfc to 14 and tweak your tras some more. Try enabling Dynamic counter as well.

285MHz was just for me. Doesn't mean you should try that because everything is unique. Overclocking requires time and patience, there is no "formula" for it. Its 60% skill and 40% trial and error.
