    420xt *56k warning*

    I have the chance to buy a R420XT for 180CDN, but do not know if i should or not. i need some info on it and overclocking/unlocking specs.

    Well r420xt would be x800xt. A.) its agp, b.) no unlocking afaik 16 pipes fully enabled. c.) clocks 500/500, should clock around 540/580 (what mine did on stock) and more with aftermarket cooler. I'd say go for it.

    damn. so i can get an x800xt for 180 cdn. i think im gonna jump on it and hope it overclocks well. wish i could see what mem it had.

    Yup, 500Mhz. 1000/500=2.0. It's a consistent formula: 1000/900=1.1ns (its really 1.1111111111111ns ram, a little worse than true 1.1ns ram, hence the 1730 on the GTX 512MB instead of 1800 stock)

    Where on earth are you getting it ????? PCI-E ? I can still cancel my order for the x800pro...I think.

    yup, its agp. and it from a guy in toronto, i think he has some hook ups with someone at ATI. most likely since its local and he has ES cards.

    There were X800XT AGP AIWs going like wildfire on the Egg about 6 months ago...no surprise there. If ATI's GTO's hadn't entered the arena the XTs would all be ~$250...
