Your right G.S Technican for this price here in germany its an absolut fantastic ram. Except the divider problem it is for about 20~30 Euro more than a normal noname ram-kit with cas3 a super cheap ocing ram.

As you work for GSkill which bios would you recommend for this ram. I read the last weak so many threads about this ram with so many bios recommendations. I get by time a little bit confused.

Can't you get it a bit higher on divider when you loosen the timings a bit?
I am getting worried when i look at your results since i really hope that i can keep running 295 HTT.

For me it is kinda curios. No matter how loosen i set the timings I wont get into windows at 300 htt. It just stops booting after the nvidia raid screen appeared anf it should back up cmos.
If I plug in my twinmos bh-5 with low divider everythig works fine upto 310~320 htt. Probably it is cpu memory controller related as my twinmos kit is only 1 gb.

Hmm i could live with 290 HTT but less would meke me cry.

Probably on weekend I will test the majority of bioses for the dfi and look if there is one for my combination of hardware to suit 300+ htt and low divider.
But as I said before for his price it is an absolut superb ram and the first 2 Gb kit i installed and running 250+ at 1:1 absolut stable.

    I've already tried 623-3, 632-1, 704-1, 510-1, 704-2bta. They all workt he same.

I am going with a ZX kit. I plan on using it with my Opteron 146 and DFI nF4 Ultra-D. I am not expecting miracles, but I am hoping to run 280 HTT with a 166 divider (233 fsb) at 3-3-2-5. I would be very happy with that result. We shall see.....

Nobody has yet to answer my other question though , is it worth it to make the switch from 1gb to 2gbs? I mean what real performance increase will I see with more memory? what can I expect from 2x1gb as opposed to 2x512?

    Entirely depends on your application(s).

I just got my ZX kit, very impressed

Popped them in about an hour ago. Currently, I am at 2600 MHz (260x10) on the cpu and 9:10 memory at 2.5-3-2-5-1T @ DDR472 @ 2.7v

I plugged the exact numbers in from Mr. GSkill USA (1st thread) and stable instantly. So far memtest, pi 1M, OCCT, and hard gaming stable.

    DFI nF4 Ultra-D, 623-3 official, orange slots

Extremely happy to replace my Mushkin TCC5 with the G.Skill ZX...

Thanks G.Skill, you'll have my business, as well as my clients....

UPDATE: The sticks pass memtest with flying colors at DDR520 @ 3-3-2-5-1t @ 2.8v. (Have not tried higher yet) Can't wait to get my Opteron 146 CABYE 0540 (arrives Monday) with the stronger memory controller. My SD3700 is a bit weak and requires too much voltage for my taste. The ram is definately not the problem, great job G.Skill

I've got a thread on these here:
    http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=1625

It has links to other people's test reports as well as the beginnings of my results.

    Mine went to 260 3-3-2-5 2.7V on my DFI NF3 250Gb
    and 257 3-3-2-5 2.8V on my DFI NF3 Ultra-D

I'm still trying for better, since I haven't really tweaked any other timings yet.

Got a pair of these myself, and I think I got some bad ones, cause once I go over 225 or so, it just starts giving me issues. I've tried all the settings that everyone else is using, and most of the time, I can't even pass the DMI check.

Running them near stock on a divider atm. I wish I can somehow get them to run around 250 or so...

The settings below, they are 100% stable for me. They may be relatively low speed, but are an excellent place to start from.

DFI nF4 Ultra-D using the orange slots, 623-3 official

These sticks are stable DDR458 @ 2.5-3-2-5 @ 2.7v but I am running them as follows for now (I need to get some work done):

These are the identical settings from Mr. GSkill USA, 1st thread.

    CPU Vcore 1.400 x 0% = 1.400v (cpuz)
    275 HTT x 10
    LDT x 3
    PCIex: 100
    DDR 458 (166 divider, 229fsb)
    LDT v = 1.3
    Chipset v = 1.6
    Vddr: 2.70v
    Command rate: 1T
    Tcl: 2.5 (or 3)
    Trcd: 3
    Tras: 5
    Trp: 2
    Trc: 7
    Trfc: 13
    Trrd: 2
    Twr: 2
    Twtr: 1
    Trtw: 2
    Tref: 3684
    Twcl: 1
    Bank int.: Enable

    Skew control: Auto, 0
    Drive strength: 7
    Data strength: 3
Max. Async Lat: 8ns (or 7)
    DRAM response time: normal
    Read Preamble: 5ns (or 6)
    Idle Cycle: 16 (or 32, 64, 256)
    Dyn. Counter: disable/disable
    R/W Bypass: 16x

I'm definitely gonna play with them more in the future. I honestly believe though that I won't be able to pass 230 or so, just from the rough outlook I've had. I'm on the 704 bigtoe bios btw. Running them at 2-3-2-5 208 on a divider atm.

Just got my 2GB set of the G.Skill ZX's today. I was previously running 2x512MB of the TwinMos Speed Premium UTT. I was not sure where to start with the G.Skill, so I popped in 2.5-3-2-8 timings leaving all the other timings the same and dropped the voltage to 2.7v and while still using my 166mhz memory divider, dropped my HTT from 300 to 250mhz to start off. Powered everything up and slowly brought it right back up to 300 doing superPi 1M real fast per increment to test briefly. Ran some more tests and amazingly, without changing a thing, it seems pretty damn stable at 245mhz. Played WOW and FEAR for a few hours and then ran some quick stability tests. Very pleased with them so far! I have not tried higher yet, but 2.7ghz is my cpu's sweet spot anyway.

Which would be better for overclocking? the ZX or the HZ (pc5000) Wouldnt the HZ give more headroom and higher overclocks? Could someone possibly explain mem ratings to me (not like beginner stuff) but like is it really beneficial to get something higher than pc3200? If it is, I might go with the HZ instead...perhaps some kind of link showing its overclocking potential?

I have the HZ's and they do about 270, I started with the ZX and they only did 223 or so for me, I figure for a few extra bux I get ddr500 at least and I'm happy with that.

Very pleased with the ddr500 kit, plus the spreaders are black to
