what exactly is the top T1 speed can you get?
Or do they not respond well to looser timings?
Fast computers breed slow, lazy programmers
The price of reliability is the pursuit of the utmost simplicity. It is a price which the very rich find most hard to pay.

Modern Ram, makes an old overclocker miss BH-5 and the fun it was

FX57 is faster than 4800, but its memory controlor is not as good as 4800.

    Did I hear it correctly?
what 's the reason you're based on?

unless you can beat up my fx57 which can easily handle GSkill ff for the following bench.

Yes you're certainly right; just wanna have correct info.
and those two stability benches were based on the Air cooling for everything, so I think there is no one can wonder if I super cool my fx.

I'm sure he meant that THAT FX57 controller wasn't as good as THE ONE at the 4800.
    One isolated case...

OPB maybe he doesn't have a handpicked fx57 rather a random one not unlike what the average joe would ultimately end up with. That alone makes his tests more realistic, believable and attainable. Good Job G.S technician you rock.

this is the specialty for UCCC. with low voltage it can go up all the way to it's max.
however, adding more voltage will not result a better OC

What is the highest stable that you can reach on the gskill using 3-3-3-8 settings or maybe even 3-4-3-8? I like the speeds for the price but the timings are a little lagging for me. With my x2 3800 my patriots sticks are low at ddr 434 but the timings are at 2.5-3-2-8 and my everest scores are 6000+ for memory read and 2500+ for write. I am sure that the gskills can do better scores if the timings were relaxed a little.

    G.S. Technician or Kakaroto,

Does G.skill have plans to use micron Ic's in the near future?

Here on my lowly Soltek K8T-939 board, 2 sticks of the G.Skill 1GB PC4000, running at 250 MHz, read score is 5837 in Everest, 2569 write, at 1T-3-4-4-8.
I can run it at 270 or 290 with a multiplier, haven't tested that yet in Everest. The above scores are with a full compliment of background processes running.

If they do, it won't be 5B -D....Micron is keeping a tight grip on those.

from what i heard, Even get the -5B D, can not run @ DDR500
cuz the PCB is special make by micron, and it is copy righted!!

i believe that there is one ram maker "TEAM" in taiwan got 5B D but can not run up to DDR500

They probably got the reject 5B -D that weren't selling well at the budget level.

Hey GS Technician, I am interested in how fast you can run these chips at CAS2. If you could post results it would be appreciated. Thanks.
