    help with memory divider please

    Asus P5W DH Deluxe bios 1602
    E6600
    Corsair 8500C5D

    This is my current overclocking

    Now , how do I set memory divider so it will run at 500 Mhz ?? In the bios I try to set ddr2 1000 it did not boot up, currently I set ddr2 800 . Please help with advise or any input , thanks

    it will depend on where u set fsb.
    Make sure to disable q fan control, virtualization, and anything else u dont need in bios. if you leave fsb at 266 and set memory to 1066 leaving spd auto then it will work.

    the 1000 setting in the bios is 4:5. Try setting fsb to 401 and then set to the 1000 setting. See if that works first. Then post back

    Last time I set ddr2 1000 , FSB 400 it has continuos beep and no post

    did you try 401fsb? are you changing voltage? timings?

    yes I tried 5,5,5, 15 with v2.2 that's my corsair 8500C5D rated at 1066

    I did not tried Fsb at 401 because 400 it did not work , how is 401 fsb will work , thanks
