gettin my new setup here in a couple of days and going to boot it up and bench this memory and try and get some good over'clk out of it. I have seen what it did on an intel setup.. hoping to contribute to the amd benchmark, as nothing was there when i looked

yeah, not many people doing OCing reports on AM2. i did AM2 and Intel testing with my Team Group 6400 C4s...

i am interested to see how you make out with yours on the 3200M2/G. i just got a kit fo the 6400 C3 Team Group so i should be posting another report like the last on those in a week and a bit, i will be doing both Intel and AM2 testing again.

the OP has the 2GB part number in his "sig" so i am assuming he is getting a 2GB kit.

if you were refering to me, the 2GB kit of course, those 2*512MB setups are just too slow in SPi i figured, if i was going to be dumping that much coin on some decent memory then i should go big or go home.

ah, that is true, silly me for not noticing.

and yeah, the benefit of the extra bank interleaving is nice... i should compare 4x512mb and 2x1gb sometime

1T does help a lot at the same clocks on AM2.. however, the thing that makes 1T worthless is that with the current generation of memory controllers, it appears to top out at 450mhz or so.. while 2T can take it up past 600mhz. In the end, 2T wins out by a nice margin due to the higher top end

anything i should know about these 2x1gb sticks of memory. I'm going to run them without the heatspreaders and with a fan on them.

... didn't realize this was going to be that popular.. lol
