Seems so ... look on those examples.
    3200+ LBBLE 0517APHW - 2850 MHZ 1.520V AIR - PITer TWEAK.PL
    3000+ LBBLE 0517APIW - 2800 MHZ 1.440V AIR - peter lu XS

Ive also seen on many forums that 0517 performs very good , but there was missing some critical info to public their results ( like stepping ).

yeah 35 min. is way too slow for a 3Ghz A64. Something around 24-25 min. should be about right. Still, thats awesome OC! Congrats on that.

nah I just got VERY lucky on my winny overclock, this Venice is an average one. I just do not care enough, not enough money nor time to go thru 10-20 3000+ Venice to find one that does 2.7GHz or more. It would be cheaper to get 2.7GHz out of a $380 3800+ Venice first or 2nd try but I arent paying 3 times for another 10-15% higher cpu clocks, I am content with my 2.45GHz ill just wait a year for amd to improve their yields and prices to drop

you can check the Venice OC database on the first page, but honestly this core in still in its infancy so we cant really give a solid statement about the "best" stepping and batch codes.

So how about you OC the crap out of it and then tell us if its a good code.

No, it's not an engineering sample. Rather, it's a pre-release sample. The ss was done one phase change. PCICe was able to hit 3.8G with this cpu on his cascade

Not a very good code, but not the worst. People should also state if they bough OEM or RETAIL and where they bought from. For example, Monarch has been selling 0516EPGW for the past 2 weeks which is not a very good overclocker, having stated that people can draw an informed conclusion about their purchase. It's up to them ultimately but it does help to know as much as possible.

Yeah but "LBBLE 0516" doesn't really tell the whole story, for example
LBBLE 0516GPBW seems to oc more than LBBLE 0516EPGW. A full stepping/code is needed to determine the overclockability of your cpu and asses its potential against those sold by other vendors. However I;ve seen people with the same exact cpus come up with very different numbers. Thus the fact still remains that it is easier to narrow down the chances by discovering a good steping, and then knowing where to get it from only makes things better.

Updated system specs in sig. The chip hits a wall around 2.85GHz @ 1.712v air cooled for me. Settings in my sig are my 25/7 running specs so you can add either one.

    3000+ LBBLE 0516CPBW - 2600mhz 9x290 1.632V H20 - bmaffin13 XS 12+ Hours prime stable

    3000+ LBBLE 0516CPBW - 2700mhz 9x300 1.664V H20 - bmaffin13 XS game stable

Both with a low divider for testing so ram not at 1:1, bought at www.ncix.com in Canada, May 14th. Asked for another stepping but they said all theirs was this one. PIB

Those are my results, really not to happy with this as my loaded temps with prime on max heat have never gone above 38c with my fans practically off. Giving it more volts results in no gain from where I am. I was really hoping for upwards of 2800mhz because my damn 3200+ winnie does 2600mhz 1:1 at like 1.5xx V. Not happy, stay away from this tepping if possible
