currently im priming dual at 1.3v 2400 mhz hopin shell give up a few more hz after some burn time..
dual stress priming at 32 :P
I would have to say out of all the newarks ive came across or read about you definately have the best one Learners, I cant beleive you dont wanna be in the 3gigz club bro, thats all I wanted from my chip and she would only do it in memtest for me, no windows for that girl..the most she ever saw was maybe the window blinds
LOL, agreed philosophy. I'm in the same situation as you. 3.0GHz, will boot memtest, but no windows. How high did you take it in volts to try to touch 3.0GHz? I wen't all the way upto 1.65v, but too scared to try 1.7v on air cooling.

I usually kept mine at 2760 with 1.54
but right b4 i sold it the buyer wanted 2.9
so i ran it usually at 1.6 for about a week to try for 2.9 but most i could prime stable at was 2880 which is pretty close

Kinda annoying though, when fiddeling with Ram timings for that to come up when I just want to get into memtest lol.
not really. it was definitly memory related though. just go through and mess with the secondary timings. the newark was.. very picky from my recollection

Exactly the question that I wanted to ask right now. What about a Turion ML-32? Anybody even tried overclocking one yet? Vandi, I thought you already had some Turions. Didn't you give at least one of them a try in terms of overclocking?

they have been played with.. if you do some poking about. vandi himself uses (used?) a turion with his asus. the newarks seemed to be a bit more cost effective and clocked better though

Thx for your anser ozzimark. So, I'll see if I can find a turion here. Should be fun to play with anyway.

Newarks are the newer Rev. E5 CPU's for the Socket 754 Platform. They replace the DTR Clawhammer core CPU's. While the Lancaster (Turion) CPU's replace the Mobile Clawhammers. Both the Newark core and Lancaster core are 90nm in relation to 130nm of the clawhammer. Newarks are pretty much a San Diego core CPU in socket 754 clothing. Hope that helps.

    #0, ozzimark, fantastic overclock!

I know you've moved on to another platform, and this thread has been hijacked, but what was the OPN for the skt3700 CPU you used in this thread? I know it says Newark in title, but do you have the OPN?

Turions aren't so good at OCing due to thicker gate oxides.

The 4000 Newarks are HERE!!!

Well the 4000's finally made it!!! They have a different core than the 3700's in that they are 35w vs 62w. Can they go above 3k on air???
    Has any tried one yet???

they made it to retail, vandi had access to them a lonnng time ago

also, i think 3ghz should be doable without too much trouble, esp considering the CAB2E stepping newegg shows

What type of voltage should I run it at?

Sorry for the thread hijack, but was anyone able to find 2x1GB sticks that played well with this chip, or should I just stick with my 2x512 and forget about it? I'm really impressed with the difference 2GB made in my uncles computer and I'd like the same. From what problems Philosophy was having, I'm going to stay away from Infineon Chips. Do you think Samsung UCCC will play any nicer? How does 2x512 TCCD/TCC5 play with this chip?

PS, Vector, that's a killer OC there bud. Very nice.
