Intel FTW!

Really nice sticks charlie...hope you get to keep em'
Could you possibly run some pifast at 277-279x9 for a compare with my 1gig mush bh-5? Very similar configs....

So did you buy these or did they send em to you? If they sent them to you then I wouldn't think your results represent the retail product, these are better than almost all 4000vx which I find hard to believe.

I'm out of action for a while... corrupted my 24/7 web design/graphics/business HDD
Will set up a Win2k bench drive later

As Charlie posted they hit retail 2 days from now.......guess he didn't buy them, at least not through normal channels.Originally Posted by kryptobs2000
But I also recall Mushkin Lvl. 2 Black PC3500 BH5's, back in the day of the first BH5's they were the shizzle. And no differant than OCZ's being posted at 290+mhz by one of thier reps.
Very glad to see Mushkin once again matching up with OCZ & all others!
So you do like red sticks thenOriginally Posted by $0m#0n#
IMHO it wouldn't be too surprising to find any company that seriously tests the speeds of chips to release the very best samples first into retail channel as it gets good word out quickly and people buy up all the crap a few weeks later. my early 9700, 9800 x800 pro and x800xt, x800xt pe , and lots of mem early sticks, cards, boards, cpu's always for me tend to do VERY well.
Quite easy to, for instance if you know someone working in a store that gets stock in early or whatever, to sell one pack on the quiet. i know when i was working in a store i'd get first pick at stuff so theres no point going and subtly asking questions bout where you get stuff. this forum is getting ridiculous with every other thread turning into a "prove it or i'll hate you for life" type situation.
sticks sound great, but i reckon few will do that well. Even so i don't get this hype/craze that goes on with every new memory, my bh-5 sticks, from what, over 2 years ago with right voltage do 270mhz, nothing new or faster in 2/3 years. how do we get so excited all the time. tccd goes higher mhx looser timings but affectively the same performance. i'm bored, want ddr2 switch as once production ramps up speeds will be able to increase quickly and then we'll have some stellar memory.

oh, just read something that makes what i said sound more interesting(yeah i know it was utterly interesting beforehand :p ) .
winbond are gonna start making their own ram again on their own 12 inch waifer, but are gonna produce 0.11micron ddr2.
something tight timings that can take stupid amounts of voltage at high speeds but moved into ddr2 will be sweet.

Can you post where you read that? Im curious.Originally Posted by drunkenmaster

Winbond general Manager, Mr Zhang reiterated that Winbond's comeback to the memory market is only transitional, and their strategy of leaving the standard memory market is still in place.
@ Charlie - Sorry to hear about your business HD corruption. Unrelated to any OC activity right?
Must be nice to have the kind of Juice to get the Mushkin sticks a week before they hit the retail channels. Its the least Mushkin can do after all the Blue you sold for them. Even that Duonger guy stuck his head in this thread. Since he's monitoring the thread let me just say how GREAT Mushkin is and how they own all other memory makers. That ought to be worth a 10% discount coupon in my PM box right? Wonder if it'll stack with the regular 10% Mushkin coupon thats always floating around.
All kidding aside (yes just joking .... unless the PM has already been sent ) I'm glad to see more premium BH coming to the market. 260+ tight timings 24/7 seems within reach of everyone now. Lets hope all the major companies hop on the bandwagon and prices soften a bit more.

Sourcing parts for a mildly over clocked abacus.
yeah i heard the same thing at a few other forums... seems winbond is focussing on DDR2 and ending their DDR1 in the near future... rumours ? who knows but if winbond can make the BH-5 of DDR2 equivalent dam maybe DDR2 PC8000 4-2-2-4 modules on the horizon heheOriginally Posted by drunkenmaster

This stuff looks amazing! Just curiously awaiting price..
